For all of you who hate lawyers, you can call them names in Germany.
It all started when a man was accused of misappropriating donation funds from a Berlin emergency help association for women. The prosecutor requested the court in Berlin for his arrest warrant, which did not sit well with his defense lawyer.
The legal eagle went on record and told the press how he felt about the prosecutor. "Mentally disturbed", "cuckoo" as well as "repulsive, malicious and simple-minded" were some of the gems.
Needless to say, the prosecutor did the lawyerly thing: he sued up to the Supreme Court, which ruled that words such as "cuckoo" are not slanderous.
