I've just googled the Dickens Festival and see it's in June. I'll definitely try to make it. Remind me closer to the time so I can bug my other half about it. ;)

Aaarrgh, typo! I meant to type "disk big *enough* to hold a video editing program."

You just happened to have caught me in one of the rare moments I've been online lately. I got a new computer just before Christmas, with the result that for the first time ever, I've finally got a disk big to hold a video editing program. So I've spent the last couple of weeks trying to teach myself Final Cut Pro 7. (Which is not really aimed a absolute beginners such as myself, but I'm persevering with it.) If you're interested in having a look, I've been posting my attempts at editing to Facebook, and I've also got a link to my youtube channel from my profile here. (But don't feel obligated to look at any of them, they're very rough and far from perfect.) Sorry to hear about your cold, hope you can get rid of it soon.

A job???!!! Whatever does this strange new word mean? ;) No, I was just thinking it might be the right time of year for a trip to the seaside. I don't like putting too much personal information on this site because it's so visible to anyone and everyone, but if you go to: http://shrunk.net/23656c8f and leave a comment with your email address in it, I'll get back to you and maybe we can organise something before the summer is over. Best, Molly

Hi Alexandra. I haven't seen anything from you for a while; just wondering if you're still around. Best, Molly

Yes, she's been dead a while I think. I read her autobiography quite a few years ago; I've just been looking for it on my shelves but don't see it, so it's possible I may have borrowed it from the library. Anyway, she's one of my comedy idols. I had a VHS tape of Maureen Lipman's one woman show in which she did all the routines (I think it was called "Re: Joyce" or something like that), and also one of Joyce Grenfell herself doing most, if not all, of them. I may or may not still have them; I've got a huge cupboard full of tapes in no particular order, and I don't know if I'll *ever* have the energy to organise them! Best, Molly

Love the Joyce Grenfell lol! (Though I doubt most people outside the U.K. will get it, which is a shame because it's a lovely reference.)

No, I haven't been to Rochester, but you've made it sound very appealing, and thanks for the offer of being a tour guide. I may well take you up on it sometime!

Ah yes, the place on a corner! I know it well. ;) Every summer I tell myself I must hop on a train and go have a look round Rochester - and/or that Dickens World thingy in Chatham - but then before I know it, it's winter again and I still haven't done it. Maybe this year I'll actually manage it. But based on my past record, don't hold your breath! ;) Best, Molly

A belated hello and welcome! Without getting too specific - I wouldn't want you to give personal details here - where in Kent are you? Near London? The coast? Or somewhere in the middle? (I'm in the general vicinity of Croydon, myself.) Best, Molly
