I'm in Perth (capital of WA). Lots of space and not quite as "big inner city" as Sydney, Melbourne. Weather is great and you don't have to go too far for beautiful countryside. Airfare costs still a problem here but other costs not too bad. Wouldn't live anywhere else!

Dat's intersting...ISle of Man had very little crime when I was there in 90-91. Loved the life as a young couple but it was very restrictive for kids and travel was ssooooo expensive. Cost alomost as much to go from IOM to UK as it did to fly from UK to anywhere in Europe!!! Orkneys has always appealed, as has the Shetlands.

Hai Ally! It gets rooly hard when yu have so many frendz to keep track of....I always check now just in case. Tis great to meet people from everywhere...I lived on the Isle of Man for about a year (many moons ago), I imagine Orkney is a liddle bit smaller than that? Sadly I never got ant farther than Edinburgh in my travels but would love to get there someday...

It's hot here, too. Dunno how hot it's gonna get today, but we've had the heat index reach nearly 100 a time or two. Thank CC we have 2 pools! I just don't like to go there alone.
