Ohai A1. Thanks for asking. I'm much better than I was. I had today off, with sore eyes and throat, a puffy left eye and another headache. Yesterday was fine though so I went to work. I think I need....... a holiday in TTI!! Just the ticket! :) Today I had a haircut and got some last minute things at the shop.
By OzcatMum on Jun 22, 2010 at 7:03 AM
Yep. Can do.
By OzcatMum on May 23, 2010 at 8:49 AM
Ah but I did get it. I just copy-pasted this bit: http://www.youtube.com/v/FafLnokzeNo&hl and it worked just fine! Thankyou dear friend. By the way, I haven't forgotten your email and kind offers. I will get onto answering that very soon. You may have seen in the tearoom that I've been going through the mill a bit. Tonight was the moment of truth, so I didn't really make it to the LOLs. Will fill you in another time. too exhausted right now. Work tomorrow. {{{{{Anemoneone}}}}}

I try to buy flowers from a market or cut price place. (if I buy any, which is rare because I also have hayfever) The florists charge such ridiculous prices and they don't last much longer if any. I have to choose which ones - some roses are good with little scent and gerberas can be good. I can't recall the last time anyone bought me flowers except when I was in hospital some years ago. Hubby isn't good with that sort of thing - he has bought me maybe 2 bunches in 11 years? So your tulips were very welcome.
By OzcatMum on May 9, 2010 at 12:59 AM
They are very beautiful! I first thought of tulips but ours never get so full and large that I've seen. It's quite hard to grow them here too, especially without heaps of extra soil additives. The base of my soil is plain grey sand so I add many things such as sheep manure and mulch, because the water just runs away.
By OzcatMum on May 9, 2010 at 12:49 AM
And I clicked post before I said: Thankyou so much for the lovely flowers! Are they roses? I don't know that flower.
By OzcatMum on May 9, 2010 at 12:48 AM
Ohai Anemoneone! Yes, we hav mother's day here today. I wasn't expecting anything as my boys decided long ago it was a commercial thing and better to show appreciation all year. Plus they said I should get father's day too, as I did all the parenting from when they were very small. But - they both took me out to lunch as a surprise! Nice boys. Now I am so full I won't need dinner!

I am so excited! I have just booked 2 nights in Cambridge - 24-25 July. Staying at a place in Newton Rd called Dorset House - looks nice. Haven't told hubby yet. He's out all night and half tomorrow. (I'm going on my own!!)

By OzcatMum on Apr 24, 2010 at 6:24 AM
Hee hee. *Imagines Ao running round garden touching fences* I have wooden floors so it's easier. Don't have wooden fences - the termites eat them! - have 'colourbond' steel.
By OzcatMum on Apr 24, 2010 at 6:04 AM
Good to hear you have the laptop under way again.Computers can be wonderful...or a real pain. I used to get migraines all the time - mostly on Friday after work - definitely stress related. They were also sinus triggered. I am not going to say anything about how long since I had one. Touching wood. :)
By OzcatMum on Apr 24, 2010 at 5:13 AM
Ohai AO! Do you think you will be at either of the Cheezmeets in June or July?
By OzcatMum on Apr 23, 2010 at 9:58 AM
That would be good if you don't mind and Upfi doesn't mind. Not good to have a migraine! RHSB was saying on the LOL that she had a migraine yesterday too. Was there something in the cosmos yesterday??
By OzcatMum on Apr 23, 2010 at 6:50 AM
I don't know why my comment with the place names wouldn't go through. Was just saying I'm interested in seeing mountains, lakes ( + District) rivers, ocean cliffs, London, Cambridge, Yorkshire, maybe Cornwall (is it dry and barren as it looks on google maps?). Not really into guided tours and standing in queues much, or looking at jewels or re-built 'old' buildings. Castles I guess but not as much as villages and old places. Anemoneone mentioned Bath and that looks interesting. I've booked a place in London for 5 nights and a couple of nights in Cambridge. The main problem I have is not knowing which towns or cities to stay in for the areas or regions.
