And it feels so comfortable too when they come back to us.

Annie here. It's very heartwarming to have an animal friend come back. It demonstrates so much...

Thanks, cataff. Who would think that an albatross would have a hole in the dirt as a place to raise a chicklet. Annie

Then you and I are among those who know spirits exist, do not die, and can come back. That's a statement I never thought I'd ever be making, but I'm glad I can. i am about to add the albatross nest and the owl nest cams to your gif.

Annie here. I've had a cat come back after crossing the rainbow bridge. Same mannerisms, same cat, different fur.

Ah, you get it about Woodee and the kittens. Yes, it was definitely meant to be against all odds. Tazz was a most amazing cat, and if there is such a thing as reincarnation, I think she made all the arrangements to be with me again (I always felt we already knew each other) and brought along the other two kittens to help me after she had to leave so soon, which she knew would happen. At one time I would have called this all insane, but Gizmo and Tazz taught me well and a great deal.

Adorable. And thanks. I'm going to watch every CAM. Annie

Your 10 fur baby stories are so interesting. But you are down to 2 now? Isn't it amazing that Woodee had kittens? "It was meant to be" Sweet fur faces. Thanks, Annie

Rats! I forgot to send Brite Eyes to BF. Thank you for reminding me. I will send the LOL link to Boo Boo. I've had pictures of Brite Eyes up before, but you may have seen her grandson (all of that will be explained as I tell the stories of the rest of the Gang of Ten.) He looked a lot like her. He's the one cancer forced us to help to the Bridge last Thanksgiving. In a way that seems like yesterday, but it also seems like so very long since I could hold him and see him doing his favorite things.

That was the beautiful black kitty, Brite Eyes? Thanks for sharing her. Annie

Thanks for sharing Brite Eyes with us. Would you like me to forward her story to Black_Friday. She was pretty good company. Annie

Gizmo is beautiful as you avatar. When you are ready, you can share the others. Bet they have some cute stories, too. Annie

I want nothing to do with a shelter. Just want to pick up the cats, neuter them, & return them. I will ask AlleyCats, for sure. Annie
By cataff on Oct 19, 2014 at 3:07 PM
Thanks for the kind comment about Gizmo's avatar. I love how it turned out. I've been showing the Gang of Ten in the order that they went to the Rainbow Bridge. Gizmo is the third in the series, but I haven't been able yet to bring myself to move on. When I'm ready, Tazz will be next. I can't even handle looking at pictures of the Furry Four, the Himalayans I kept after I "closed" Ryree cattery. Some wounds leave deeper scars than others.

Ferals and shelters generally don't mix. There are a few shelters, and Alley Cat Allies knows of some of them, that deal with ferals, but most don't have the money to take the time to try to try to tame them, which is usually not possible anyway. The kind of group you want is one that will help with trapping and spaying/neutering. They also may know of a better place to release the cats where there are caregivers who will be sure they are fed, have some shelter, and are watched over. They may even know of folks who will care for some as a small colony for their vermin control skills.

Gizmo's story is just what this event is about. Thanks for sharing with us. The Avatar of her is purrfect. Annie

Then that should save me lots of research. Since there is that dark grey tuxedo with a clipped ear, the residents may be somewhat familiar with the concept. Cats must live, though. I am horrified at kill shelters. Will ask AlleyCats for advise. Thanks bunches. Annie.

You can trust Alley Cat Allies. They are the experts in dealing with ferals and with those who think the answer is to kill them all. They themselves probably aren't physically in your area, but they are in contact with good feral rescue groups all over, and if they recommend a group in your area to go to, you can bet it's a good one. Alley Cats is the group that started and continues National Feral Cat Day. I've been a supporter for many years.

No, haven't looked into AlleyCats yet. I wii devote some time to this, by next weekend. Time is so rare. I really want to do some research. Want to hook up with a safe organization. It's a bad area. I want cats & people safe. Is AlleyCats a good one? Annie
