hehe i envy you the delps! Shame we can't swap i will give you some roses for them! Have tried to grow some veg too last year was a disaster i think i did't sow deep enough this year i planted them in made up stone containers carrots seed.. leek.. cabbage and onion the carrot seed got nommed by God knows what the cabbage is looking holey but the onion and leek seem to be ok planted them late so going to give them a few more weeks before i pull them up won't really know how they did until then they will probably look ready for the borrowers!

Thanks Canarysong! The only thing i have tried is tomato feed on my roses but think its too weak to help them they seem to have a bit of black spot on them but dun wanna spray them heard washing up liquid solution is good to remove greenfly but doubt it will touch the black spot..

I don't use any weed killer etc like to stay organic so the fish thing sounds like a great idea.. Been trying to add bits since i planted it out must be about 4 or five years now got the path ways going etc just adding ornaments and bits and would love a pergola maybe next year!

Ohai Canarysong! Lovely to meet another cottage gardener! I am just a novice and have been trying out plants some have dun ok others not like my delphiniums they just grew massive and no flower til i had to just dig them and chuck them think it could be the soil its not in great condition need a lot of rich soil to mix in with it.. but its fun doing a bit to it each year and trying to come up with ideas!
