(....who?) well, the way I see it joy is a fundamental force affected by emotions. When all emotions like hate, anger, regret and stuff is gone, you're left only with joy. You never run out of joy either, when you get depressed it's that the level of bad stuff is higher than joy, not that the joy is lower than the bad stuff.
