(I debated if I was going to make Maverick wake up long enough to say "It goes on the wound you idiot" lol) Maverick swallowed the medicine and almost immediately the veins started to return to normal color. His heart rate and breathing normalized and his eyes opened for longer than 5 seconds.

The blue veins have moved up on Maverick's face, getting closer to his cheek. His eyes open for a second and he gasped for air. He looked to where Chitaru was and pointed at a small glass bottle laying in the pile. Laying back in agony, he coughed again, bringing up more blood.

Maverick's eyes are closed and he hummed some sort of children's song in response. He doesn't appear to be conscious. His satchel he had on him fell to the ground, spilling its contents out.

Maverick's eyes fluttered again. "I-I don't th-think you know how Alfred operates. He p-poisons his..." His eyes closed and his breathing increased slightly.

Maverick coughed violently and he spat blood. "D-did you pull out the tip of the arrow in my back?" A slight hint of blue crept up his veins on his neck.
