I feel I should state that I'm not looking for a game that gives me the exact same experience, so no clones needed. Just a game with simular aspects.

Hey CW, long time since we had a small chit-chat. I just wanted to ask some advice. A couple of months ago, I finally had a chance to buy and fully complete Shadow of the Colossus and really enjoyed the experience. To be more specific, I really enjoyed the aspect of interacting with titanic, mysterious "threats" in video games. Of course, I could list many other aspects of the game I enjoyed, but what I just listed is something I'd love to experience again. So, do you have any recommendations for video games that give the same experience?

Hey! May you please inform me on how one adds tags on this site?

Harvested them all? Are you cray-cray? I saved them all.

Auuugh, those friggin audio diaries! I can never hear them properly, there's always some background static that makes it impossible to listen. I'd turn on subtitles, but the subtitles for these games are terrible! They always jump ahead of the dialogue. Blarrgh. Life is too difficult.

I actually started playing the first BioShock game a few weeks ago, but didn't get very far. I head the twist is mind-blowing, but don't spoil it! I'm sure I'll play it someday. I have played BioShock Infinite, though, and the twist featured there was very satisfying.

I'll tell the mods about that, then.

You've barely passed a quarter of the game. Plasmids? I rarely ever use plasmids. I usually just stick with the bees (Not the bees!) and fire.

I think I played something like Kirby in dreamland or something like that and then I think there was one with a mirror or shards, it's been a while so I am not sure of the names. yeah triple delux definitely gets a 9/10 on my scale.

oh, that would explain it since I am still busy with the dedetour. I'm trying to collect all the keys to complete it, I have collected a bunch of rare keys so I don't know what I missed yet.

It was a nice fun, especially after such an intense game like monster hunter. I don't think I fought the secret bosses in the arena yet. I have been busy trying to collect all the key chains.

One can only hope. The only sequel that's actually REALLY damn good is the Rescuers' Down Under. It's the only one Disney canonically acknowledges. Another good one would be Lion King 2, but other than that, yeah, Disney should stay far away from sequels unless they have every intention of pulling a Toy Story 2. It would be doomed to failure, otherwise.

I've played amazing mirror, triple deluxe, nightmare in dream land, and a bit of canvas curse. I also have the 20th anniversary collection for the wii, but I never got around to playing any of the games.

Uuuggh, nothing comes close to the absurdity of the plot twist featured in Now You See Me. I about had an aneurism when I saw it in theaters. I’m glad that SOMEONE agrees with me. I actually think it would have worked a lot better if Hans had just been influenced by the Duke and thought that killing Elsa would have ended the winter and saved everybody. It would have made more sense and we wouldn’t have had to put up with the whole “greedy second-son that won’t inherit anything” plot device, which was unoriginal and aggravating and only serves to further shove into our faces the “don’t marry somebody you just met” motif. Blarrghh. Hmmm...I’m definitely not against them giving Elsa a sequel so she could have more spotlight, and it would make up for the lack of her character in the first movie, but Disney just does not have a good track record when it comes to sequels. That worries me a great deal. They’re no Pixar. :/

Yeah, as far as I know all the time attack records were done with hammer. I personally think ninja and circus were the worst abilities in this game, at least against bosses. AM's abilities were not as diverse as TD's, but the one that stood out the most for me was Smash, where the moveset from SSB was incorporated into the game. The map gimmicks relying on abilities were a lot more creative compared to TD's as well. You can call other Kirbys, since single player is the same as multiplayer except the other three are controlled by the game.

Yeah, I know how strong the flaming hammer move is, but it still doesn't have any invincibility moves to abuse. Amazing mirror just had a fun sort of feel with the intertwining maps, cool abilities, and fellow Kirbys that travel around the different areas, which you can call for help during a boss fight. Yeah, unfortunately he's back, but here's hoping he leaves again, this time for good. I wonder if he actually thinks he's in the right after all those times he's been proved wrong. His stubbornness is pretty funny to watch sometimes.

UP, that THAT is a damn good movie. And animation wise, I do think Frozen is definitely one of Disney's best. The effects on Elsa’s ice magic are stunning. Like I said, the impact of the few good songs is really lost in the theater. I didn't realize how great a song Let It Go was until I heard it a few times on the radio, and I didn't start warming up to Do You Wanna Build A Snowman? until I listened to a bunch load of creative parodies. Frozen Heart and For The First Time In Forever aren't too memorable, but I didn't have that big a problem with them. Fixer-Upper, In Summer, and Love is an Open Door are painfully obnoxious and bog down the rest of the movie. The twist with Hans really grated me because it’s just such a clumsy transition. Never once in the film does it hint that Hans is a heartless murderer (in fact, doesn’t he go out of his way to save Elsa at one point?) and now they just expect us to believe he’s been a bona fide sociopath this whole time? Sorry, twists like that don’t work unless you put down a foundation and work in foreshadowing at some point, especially for a plot point that big and important. (And one blip in a song doesn’t count; I don’t know why people think it does.) Elsa also has the most potential for character development; she’s the one who’s been outcasted, she’s the one who’s queen, she’s the one with other-wordly powers (which is never explained as to why she has them; I found that particularly disappointing). She’s just more interesting. I like Anna well enough, but she just isn’t strong enough to carry an entire movie, at least not well enough as Elsa could’ve. The best words I can use to describe this movie are ‘wasted potential’. Disney should have taken more chances with it; it could have been a really great film.

Wow, hammer huh. That's pretty impressive. I never played DL3, but AM is an amazing game (first Kirby I 100%'d I think). Touhou is just one of those games I'm just going to enjoy the soundtracks and music instead of playing because it seems too insane for me lol. I haven't watched Frozen.

Just a few bullet points about my biggest grievances: 1) The movie should have focused more on Elsa, by far the best character, and less on Anna and her absurd love triangle, or preferably to scrap it entirely. 2) There were far too many songs in the beginning that it drowned it the actually really good songs (notably Do You Wanna Build A Snowman? and Let It Go (LOVE that song). 3) That plot twist with Hans was (HKKFFJNKSSOSTUPID-!) I did not care for it.

Euuuaaggghhh...hmmm, it was...okay, I guess. I saw it before the entire Internet boarded the hype train, and even then when I left the theater, well, I wasn't overtly satisfied. When the hype train DID roll around, it didn't help to improve my opinion at all. I LIKED the movie, but there are just sooo many problems with it that I can't bring myself to call it a fantastic movie.
