Does sound awsome!

Drove ME nuts, too. Gotta love those tax refunds. :-) I was going to buy a new stereo with an aux audio input and a USB port, but I decided to save about $160 and just put in the MP3 CD unit I bought in '04. Maybe I'll do that upgrade next year — it WOULD be nice to be able to plug in, say, a 32GB SDHC card [reader] with pretty much my entire MP3 collection on it.

13 months WITHOUT music??? Wow. That would drive me nuts!
By Crossfire905 on Mar 22, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Not really. Same ol' routine. Though I did finally get a new [old] stereo installed in my car yesterday, after about 13 tuneless months.

Doing ok. Missing the old ICHC, so spending less time in here and more time reading and doing other "stuff." You doing anything exciting?
By Crossfire905 on Mar 22, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Howdy back! Just up the usual whole bunch o' nothing. Been doing that whole "FB addict" thing lately [except for the silly games — no interest] and keeping up with some of my cheezpalz over there. And you?

Howdy Crossfire! How ya doin'?

BBQ? Cool! I am still mourning the loss of my BBQ. Can't afford a new one right now. Hubby fell off the porch and took the BBQ with him. Hubby got a bruise or two. The BBQ was terminllay injured...

HOWDYhowdy! Birthday wasn't bad — certainly better than the "no plans, wake up in the evening, make dinner for one, go to work" routine of the past several years. Got a co-worker to fill in for me and had a barbecue at my brother's place.

Hi Crossfire!!! How've you been? Oooo. Sorry I missed your birthday. Hope it wasn't too traumatic. >^..^<

Yeah, during THOSE hours, only our overseas Cheezpeeps would be up. And I agree about all those STUPID infomercials. There's too many of them running during the day on the weekends as well.
By Crossfire905 on Jun 8, 2011 at 8:07 AM
Y'know what messes me up here? Nobody else is on when I'm on in the wee hours. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but it's not far off. Make LOLz when everyone's asleep, and nobody sees 'em.

:-) I found myself turning nocturnal ages ago... Like, during the summer of 1977, at 10 years old, staying up late reading, watching TV [this was way back when there was actually something other than eleventeen bazillion mofuggin' INFOMERCIALS on late-night TV], listening to the radio. My first "real job" was an overnighter.

YIKES!!! You know what I'D say to that schedule? "DO NOT WANT"!!!!! Glad you can live with it!
By Crossfire905 on Jun 8, 2011 at 7:53 AM
The down-side to my "long weekend" is a weird work schedule — afternoon/evening shift [2p-10p] on Sat. and Sun., 24 hours off, back in for two overnights [10-5a] on Mon. and Tue. But I'm used to it, and there's internets aplenty while I'm there. :-)
By NawtyKitty on Jun 8, 2011 at 7:49 AM
Woooo! Long weekend for you AND staying up! Life CAN be boring at times. I've been really busy myself. Hopefully, I'll get a break from it before I go bonkers!
By Crossfire905 on Jun 8, 2011 at 7:43 AM
HOWDYhowdy! Just up to the usual whole bunch o' nothing. Got home from work a couple hours ago; killin' time on teh intarwebz. Don't have to be back at work 'til Saturday afternoon, so I don't hafta go to bed now if I don't wanna. :-)
By NawtyKitty on Jun 8, 2011 at 7:36 AM
Hey! Crossfire! How ya doing? Haven't talked to you in a while.
By NawtyKitty on Oct 3, 2009 at 12:34 PM
More than likely. We had newspeople all over the place. And the inevitable "Looky-Loos" snarling up traffic and taking pictures. Took forever to get just a few blocks from all the excess traffic.

I was pretty little when the show was on (1961-63), but I remember loving it. Yes, Fred Gwynn was in it.

I live in La Canada. We were part of the group that got the accidental evacuation notice. It was still REALLY close to us though. We could see flames when we stood in front of our house. One of my Pics is from the fire. It was scary. Everything covered in ash. Coughing from the smoke, etc.

Welcome Crossfire905! Love the "Cur 54" LOL! Are you old enough to remember the TV show (I was a little kid, but loved it). I saw that you used one of my fire photos. You don't live too far from me. Did you get a lot of ash?
