I've checked out her blog, but I haven't yet subscribed to it. Will do so soon, though.

I've published some stuff already so I'm already familiar with the process and can tell her all about it. One thing, though; there is no true need for a copyright service. She can go through the US Library of Congress if she wishes, but once it's published it establishes the existing copyright anyway. The best resources/self-publishers are createspace.com (a division of Amazon.com) and lulu.com. There is no need to purchase a publishing "package." I'll send her this note, too, and I'm available to talk about it. Cheers! -Don

Thanks! I completed the manuscript for a 138,000-word novel and it is now in the hands of my editor. I plan to self-publish, and will definitely be making some noise when it's all ready to go.
