I cannot say. Though I will admit that my curiosity is getting the better of me. I may go have a look for myself

It's quite given me nightmares, your highness. What sort of evil could such a thing be plotting?

What in Equestria could that be? Some new creature? I will admit that I have never before seen such a thing

Your highness! I just saw something horrible in the Everfree Forest. http://cheezburger.com/7276062464 Something worse than usual I mean. I thought it was a short biped wearing a mask but after I started taking notes it transformed into something huge and disgusting that spat blood and pieces of partially digested flesh at me. It appeared to be cutting down trees like it was building something...

I suppose that would be the next logical step, wouldn't it? I'll send the request to Dr. Foalgood and inform you of the results. Once again, thank you

Your highness, perhaps if we had a blood sample from one of the Germaneighan Von Frostnites, you could have a blood test done. I believe Dr Foalgood has the facilities.

Coincidental, perhaps. But maybe there's more. The past is colliding with the present and it feels as though something is coming. Yet I do not know what it is.... But that is a matter for another day. I thank you for your hard work, Master Hoofwise. Though if I may trouble you for awhile longer, there is one more detail I am unsure of. I am aware of the most surest way of identifying a Frostnite, but what it a pony of Frostnite blood were to lose it's right foreleg? How then could he be identified? Or is there even a way

I wonder at so many old things coming back. The Jeweltons, inquiries into the ancient history of House Lulamoon, Snowdrop returning to us from 1,000 years ago, your own sister but recently returned from her exile, and now Frostnites and memories of the War of the Bluemane. It all seems rather coincidental, do you not think, your highness?

As you know madam, the Frostnites are a noble line with extant members living in Germaneigh, which you can see on this map. http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/335/a/4/equestria_and_beyond__rev_8_1_by_hlissner-d46wmzm.jpg The Equestrian line of the family held a march along the river Bluemane, which historically was the border between Equestria and Germaneigh. However, as you can recall, I am sure, that march was lost to Germaneigh during the unpleasantness 700 years ago. The Frostnites who remained loyal to you were granted farms in Derbyshire with rights of inheritance but no title associated. Several of the more notable members of the clan entered your service directly, and I am sure that Frostnite blood runs in the veins of at least two of the royal unicorn guard, for you can see the characteristic circular birthmark on the right foreleg. That is the surest way of identifying a Frosnite male, at any rate. They are still a titled family north of the border, and a prickly lot they are. Baron Von Frostnite has a standing policy not to receive any of this cousins from the south at his estate. Are there any specific questions you have, your highness? I don't want to bore you with thousands of details.

Of course, your highness, right away! Curious, this is the third such investigation into the history of northern noble families this week! Prince Blueblood asked me to attend Lady Rarity, one of Princess Twilight Sparkle's mares-in-waiting, in Ponyville, and to aid her in investigation of her family origins. It turns out she is the spitting image of Baroness Adamantia Jewelton, who held the Jewelton barony 600 years ago! Except for the hair style. I was so startled, I dropped all of my scholarly apparatus! Do you have any memory of Baroness Adamantia? According to the histories, she was an exceptional aesthete. Too bad her barony is overrun with dragons! In any case, the Frostnites! Thank you your highness, I shan't let you down!

Master Hoofwise, just the pony I wanted to talk to. You see, I need any and all information you can find on the Frostnite family. Their clan is an ancient one, so you may have to do some digging. Specifically, I would like to know if their line was broken. Or if there are traces of their family line still living today. And if so, how I might identify them. I appreciate any help you can offer

Your highness! *bows* I stand ready to serve you in any way I may! Do you need an ancient tome translated? Research into the life cycle of diamond dogs? Has somepony unearthed a strange artifact from the crystal caverns under the castle? Your wish is my command!
