You're right, I didn't take that news very well at all, I was still in disbelief about Roni. Many of you lovely people are the same age as my mum, so yes, that might come into it. On a different note, I hope your team does well on Sunday as I know how much it means to you. I'll be an overseas mascot and wear something blue ;-)

She was so family oriented. Yes I do think I want to do an LOL to let people know. It is always difficult when our friends disappear forever and we have no idea why. May I include in the LOL that you found out about it?

Yes, I'm afraid she died in early December 2014, perhaps you could let her friends know, if you feel able. She was one of a kind.

Oh no! Is this for sure? I would really like to let her friends here knw. We were all so excited for her when her gdau Sadie was born and the pics she posted of her growing up. Than some time this fall she posted an LOL saying she was back - and then nothing.

Thanks, Sylvia, there's nothing like some good old-fashioned fun with no internet in sight. I didn't know Veronica well but I could tell she had a larger-than-life personality. I was sad to learn through a bit of detective work that Elizabuff has also passed away. I know she also meant a lot to many people on here. I can only hope she is now at peace (with Roni.)

We really did, a most relaxing, total media free weekend. Watched 2 DVDs, Dallas Buyers Club and Guardians of the Galaxy and rest of the time, worked picture puzzles, read, walked on the beach, went to a couple of towns on the coast. Yay and high 5 on Mom's CT! I assume there will be frequent follow-ups to be sure I am so glad one of her offline friends also belongs to ICH and passed the sad news. I really liked her strong, smart woman attitude and LOLs. Hard to make recommendatons on perfumes as women's tastes are so individualized but Nocturnes has a wonderful scent without being overpowering. DOn;t have the "nose" to tell just how to dewcribe it :) Yes, you do have a birthday coming up :)

Sorry for the late reply, I hope you enjoyed your trip to the ocean. I just looked up the perfume you mentioned and it sounds lovely, perhaps I'll get Mum that instead when I've saved up a few more pennies! The perfume I DID get wasn't a scent she had tried before, but it sounded special and I wanted to lift her spirits after such a distressing year. I won't say what I think of the seller as it's unprintable! As for my mum, I don't yet know if she's completely cancer-free, but a CT scan hasn't picked up any metastasis. I was shocked and saddened (and still am) to hear of Roniharvey's passing. I loved her offbeat humour very much. I find it particularly sad that she has died so close to her birthday, (incidentally the same day as mine.)
