Welkumz! Maybe none of us will recognize everyone in this video, but all of us will probably recognize some of the performers in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3OAwwbzuUA

I did better than Black Friday - I got online a couple of days *before* Thanksgiving and got some REAL bargains. My smart-aleck opinion of Black Friday is that the merchants just use it to clear inventory. Stores can legally advertise low prices on high-ticket items even if they only have five of that item in the store. Rather than show up at stores to see mediocre "markdowns" on slow-moving items, I went online the Tuesday before, comparison-shopped and got some real bargains. Also, I was not planning to do Cyber Monday, but a few emails that I got convinced me it would be worth it, and it was. Many businesses were offering extra discounts (like free shipping, free merchandise, percentage discounts on orders even if the purchases were already marked down) and I finished Christmas shopping. *kewl*

Thanks for the compliment. Pre-Internet I was always raiding the magazine rack to make collages - those were the days! Pleased to hear that Thanksgiving went well and I hope you found yourself a Black Friday bargain or two ( that said, those sales look totally chaotic whenever I've seen footage!) Bye for now x

I liked the dog, too - maybe his persistence paid! I'd never EVER try to deep fry a turkey, BTW - people started getting in the news by causing fires like that. Today is indeed brilliant, thank you - and although cold, very sunny. I'm happily stuffed after a good dinner. Thanks for the LOL - I like the picture you made. It's very colorful and well -balanced.

Thanksgiving looks potentially stressful, in a way I'm glad we just have Christmas over here. Thanks for the clip, I like the part where the dog is jumping up at the table! Hope you're having a brilliant day: http://cheezburger.com/8588892160

I can't imagine. There was nothing posted about that, but the cat was not afraid, just amazed! None of my cats (and I've had dozens) ever acted like that.

Thanks for sharing. That cat's face is priceless, I wonder what he/she was feeling so cautious about?

Thanks for the link. I never saw that one, although I have watched plenty of birds doing hoomin-style singing and talking. Ever see this kitteh video? http://www.wimp.com/curiouscat/

Instead of a weekend playlist, I am sharing this link. On the third line down (at present), Grumpy Cat appears in a video. A few lines down from her, all of the winners of the 2013 Friskies Awards videos begin with a black cat in "Who's In That MIrror." Some cheezpeeps voted for these videos during the contest, and a big WOOHOO to TheCuddlyFriends, whose youtube channel entered and won a prize with "Careers for Cats." http://www.youtube.com/user/PurinaFriskies/videos

A lot of people think so, and that has helped me to home some of the kittens I raised. There is at least one nationwide polydactyl society in the US, and cat rescues and adoption centers list polydactyl as a characteristic just as they would list dog-friendliness as a good characteristic of adoptable cats. People believe that polydactyl cats are more easygoing, generally, than other cats. They also say that polydactyl cats are consistently affectionate, and I can attest to that. None of the polydactyl cats in my care have ever been "moody," they're always up for affection. I've given away plenty of polydactyl kittens, and only kept two, so I have two females with very unusual configurations of polydactylism. Both "girls" are so affectionate with the other cats that they always have had a good affect on the group (during the years when I raised lots of kittens, the oldest polydactyl was a great help).

What a great video, I loved the hedgehog. We had a hedgehog family in our garden once, the babies would crawl around and all over our feet. It's a shame you have no photo of Mitzi online, at least you have the lookalike for the time being. Are polydactyl cats different to regular cats in temperament?

By buyerbware on Oct 13, 2013 at 9:10 PM

Yes, outdoor cats go from blue-black in the winter to kind of rusty looking in the summer. Mitzi is not in my file here at all. Your question brought my attention to the fact that my browser file must have dropped her photo (I never deleted it). I'm pretty tech-savvy, but I don't know what I'd have to do to get the photo back again. Mitzi's human has been at work for inhumanely long hours, so I probably won't be able to get the photo from him anytime soon. I might have to try to get an old computer back online again. Anyway, here are three interspecies fur friends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZCBuyfCCeo

Mitzi sounds beautiful, is she the cat by the paperwork on page one of your pics? I guess black cats are difficult to home because of people's superstitious beliefs. Associations with folklore can be hard to shake off, can't they? Black cats aren't considered unlucky here though, oddly enough. A funny thing—my black and white cat's 'black' fur was almost red/auburn when she died (must've been all that sunbathing!)
