Hi! You're welcome for the collectible! I'm glad your kittehs loved this cute toy mouse! You may not believe me, but I found, yesterday, a stuffed toy mouse on the stairs of the Saint-Michel underground, in Paris! :D Here it is: http://images.cheezburger.com/imagestore/2011/12/31/e97a0e3e-bcc7-446b-afbd-333e1d460f8c.jpg I don't know what it did there, but it was an adorable and funny coincidence life offered me, as I always enjoy them :D I had a good Christmas, but I had tummy aches because all of the food I ate! And I was really tired. No I'm ready to celebrate the new year, quietly with my fiancé, and share a nice moment with him. I wish you'll have a very happy new year, full of gardening and new trees :) Thanks for your friendship in 2011, and I hope you'll still bring me warmth and friendship in 2012! I wish you all the best for 2012! http://cheezburger.com/Asset/View/5633011200 May the tribbles give you warmth too!

I know just what you mean(about the shopping)..its funny, I was just recently trying to explain it to my husband...he was like, why do you go in these places and not buy anything?...well, first of all, way too expensive, second WAY too breakable(we do have kittehs!)..but there is just something about being in the places and seeing all the beautiful ,sparkly things that is so Christmas...and if it be childish,or childlike, well may we always be children :P I hope your Christmas was very merry... mine, well we got through it yea! that is usually the best I can hope for now to think about Spring and gardening and planting new trees in my yard Whoo hoo!

Hi :) Sometimes I'm like a little child and I love to contemplate shiny, beautiful and luxury things. It was like in a dream, and even if I usually dislike shopping in Paris - expensive and crowded - I really enjoyed the moment. Thank you for your kind support. It's not the first time I see death in my relatives, but this year, I don't know what happened, I unexpectedly lost three members of my family, and I've got a little family, so it has been quite a shock and I have thought a lot about death the past months, and about my role on Earth. I'm really sad for your cat :( I guess how it must harm because animals are so much like a member of the family. Your kitteh is in the special place for cats in Heaven and is protected by gods, spirits, or whatever you believe in - I remember you said you were, like me, quite pagan. I hope you have a kind family and kind friends to help you face this loss. Your greeting card is awesome and so funny :))) Hugs and merry Christmas!

I am so glad that you found your Christmas Spirit! And your trip sounds wonderful! My condolences for your losses, that's hard to bear , but it sounds like you have a great support group of people who love you. I know what its like, its been a really rough year for us, this week especially ( I lost a very dear kitty of 9 years ) but I am determined to make things work out...or else :P I hope your holiday is wonderful and I will try to keep in touch! Merry Christmas!http://cheezburger.com/View/5590877696

Hi! Many thanks for the collectible and for your friendship :))) I really appreciate it! I'm sure you'll have the courage to write to me sometimes, even without the collectibles! You don't have to be shy with me ;) I hope you'll find the Christmas spirit and you'll have a very nice Christmas! I had a very difficult year, with a lot of disappointments about friends who betrayed me or harmed me, and some of my family died... I now have a very few friends and family but they all love me very deeply, so I have never found the Christmas spirit better than this year. This week, I went in the Galeries Lafayette in Paris and bought some of my presents there. That was beautiful, with shiny ornaments, luxury products, even champagne and cello music. I had a very fine moment :) I hope you'll find love and warmth around you! And my Cheezfriends are also part of my joy about Christmas this year. You were just perfect with me, and very friendly :) Thanks for everything! http://cheezburger.com/Asset/View/5605051392 Hugs!

Hey! Sorry I didn't get back sooner...one of THOSE weeks. Halloween went pretty well...my son wanted nothing to do with the whole thing so my hubby and I sat on our porch and did the "treating" . We gave out 103 little puppies!( everybody gives candy, so I like to find something different...once it was bracelets, last year key chains. This year I found a great deal on little stuffed puppies and thought, well, why not...kittehs would have been more appropriate, but oh well :) But we had a good time and manged to freak out a few people with our decorations. I uploaded photos of them. Now to work on Christmas!

Hi! I totally agree with what you say! I don't know the Discworld books but they seem quite interesting! How was your Halloween night, then? :)

By keeperofthegrove on Oct 30, 2011 at 7:45 AM

I understand completely...we seem to be having the same kind of thing here... and everyone is so concerned with being "politically correct" that they forget what's actually right. We have to find some way to keep the spirit of these holidays alive or we are doomed. Have you ever read any of the Discworld books? There is one called The Hogfather. Discworld's version of Santa is taken out by evil auditors(who think the whole notion is too untidy) and Death himself decides that he has to play the part of the Hogfather(Santa) in order to keep the belief alive. Otherwise the sun won't rise. I was really taken by this idea...that keeping the spirit of the season was so important that even Death had to help out. I actually dressed up a 6foot Cernunnos figure I had made for my porch for Halloween as Santa...nobody in my neighborhood understood, but it felt right. I no longer have him, but I dress up my Jack Skellington in a Santa suit every year :) We need to come up with some way to help you keep Christmas over there...in spite of everything :)

Hi! I totally agree with you! I can't say I'm really christian though I have been raised in a christian family. I'm more pagan like you, but christianity is part of our culture and it has given to our civilization many treasures, especially in art and music. I deeply respect this part of our culture and I can't admit that immigrants try to destroy it. They consider that every christian symbol is an insult towards their religion. Sometimes, they even consider that people who eat pork and drink wine are trying to insult us O_o The situation in France is really weird, they are accepted in our contry and they try to destroy our culture rather to adapt to her. It's like if someone you invite home begin to criticize the way you live and want to change it. And it is impossible to say what I'm writing to you without being considered as racist. As a result, there are less and less christian celebrations and people forget what is the joy of Christmas. Life is all gray here, and people are afraid to say what they think and to celebrate with a light heart the celebrations they care for :(

Thank you for the Jason Alone...yea! Halloween!

By keeperofthegrove on Oct 27, 2011 at 5:00 AM

Now that really sucks! No particular religion should have the right to mess with anyone else's right to celebrate any holiday as they see fit. If they don't celebrate that way, they don't have to. And if they want to celebrate something of theirs that we don't, that's fine. Here , we seem to have more of a problem with people of no religion wanting to keep religion out of every holiday because they don't believe. They try to forbid public "religious"displays, and even tried to make it "politically incorrect" to wish People Merry Christmas", instead of Happy Holidays. I spent 12 years in Catholic school and now consider myself a pagan, but I think that everyone has the right to worship and celebrate however they feel is best for them. And,as far as Christmas, unfortunately, here we have turned it into a big commercial thing :( I think that this time of year is to get together with people you care about, be thankful for those that are still with you, miss those who aren't and psych yourself into getting through the winter and looking forwards to Spring. It gives you an excuse to bake cookies and be nice to people you might not normally be nice to without feeling like a sap :P Don't let people who are big poops ruin your holidays. If people give you grief about the "religious" side you can still celebrate yourself with people you care about. I apologize for the tirade...I've had too many holidays ruined by people who feel the need to be poops :P

Hi, actually yes, it is quite sad. People here just don't celebrate Halloween. I really would like to celebrate it, but there are no decorations in the streets, no special sweets, ni disguised children... French people are quite sinister, sometimes I think they do not even celebrate Christmas... Muslim immigrants consider that the crèche, the christmas tree and Santa Claus are an insult towards their religion O_o how can you quietly celebrate Christmas in such conditions? The result is that there are less and less Christmas decorations in the streets!

By keeperofthegrove on Oct 24, 2011 at 10:41 AM

What?! NO Halloween?! Aaaaaauuuugh! That is so not good! We always try to do something for Halloween. Since my son decided he was too big for Trick or Treat, we decorate our porch and sit out there Halloween night handing out treats ( and playing way loud creepy music) We try to keep the kittehs in so we don't lose any ;P Last year , our neighbor's cat sat on our porch with us greeting people. We had all these people petting him and saying what a great cat , and we just smiled and said thanks but he's not ours! We got some really interesting looks from that ...LOL

By OryuKitty on Oct 23, 2011 at 11:38 AM

Hello :) I'm perfectly well, thanks! I love Halloween too, but it's a shame nobody celebrates it in France :s I'm glad to help you completing your collectible set, and really happy to see that you and your cats are doing fine. They must be excited; Halloween will be a great day for them :D
