Ohai Cindy !! Yes, I did have a good Caturday and a good Sumdai too. It's almost 9pm Sunday night and in an hour it will be time for the next LOL (3am ICHC time). We've finally had some good rain yesterday and again late today. That's very important because the drought has been going for 13 or 14 years and the land is parched. Permanent water restrictions, can't wash cars at home, no sprinklers, watering gardens only by hand at 6am twice a week, etc. Our friend OzcatMum lives on the other side of Aus and they haven't had rain for 100 days now. (0.2mm only). What are you planning for your birthday? I hope you do enjoy it and don't have a bad day. Believe me, it was a shock for me but I'm well over that now. See you, PB {{3KOM}}

Some months ago there was a similar issue with Judson (from Judson's Splort Repair fame) who complained how the site had lost all the good posters who made the place fun with their witty comments. An uproar took several LOLs to quiet down. Judson also let slip he had contracted lung cancer and vowed not to return. You can imagine how this affected the place. But he has returned and makes occasional posts and is funny and reports on his cancer treatment. So all is not lost. I think the people involved today will kiss and make up, so don't let it add to your worries, OK? {{{Cindy}}}

Ohai Cindy. I have only finished reading the Captain Obvious comments. I think they will all recover in the morning. I've been told off for responding to trolls myself. On the other hand, the donkey and others are respected for giving them a hoofing or rapping them up with tape so we cannot hear them, etc. The advice not to respond / feed them is probably the best. Ohai 3kom !! I'm pretty good and coping well, I think. Your "bebbehs" giving you worries? I haven't had that worry, being single. A bit of fantasy on a magical carpet ride is a great idea. We'll have to recreate that at some time because it didn't get off the ground the other day *smile*. Being trapped? Yes, sometimes but not for a while. Nothing to worry about at all. Ohai 3kom !! Thanks for the message. Yes, I'm coping with my Father's death, although he is in my thoughts many times during the day and night. It's more of a gentle sadness because he was so old. ICHC and the Cryer messages helped my eyes leak because I was keeping myself in control otherwise. :( Caturday was good and I went to my sister's birthday party in the afternoon. There were many candles and her grandchildren helped her blow them out. I'm extra careful on my bike and extremely attentive to traffic in all directions including any behind me. (I glance into a mirror below the handle-bars frequently). I've had a 60Km gentle ride this morning with a pal. We ride together every 3 weeks or so. Usually in the hills, but today was on a flat cycle path. It's been 34C and oppressive this weekend. Just below 30C / 86F at 6am !! As to pictures, most people don't have pictures of themselves but many give themselves away with Flickr or FBk. Anonymity is part of the culture and

I'm just back now a little before midnight from my ride to find a large white cat with large patches of black and ginger on my lawn, lapping up the water in the bird dish I keep under the tap. I think I will scrub the dish tomorrow so it has a nicer taste next time she visits. Yes, it's hot all over the country as we head into the last month of yet another very hot summer. I'm hoping for some rain which is promised tomorrow but we usually only receive short showers and less than expected. Ciao for now, PB

Ohai 3kom !! Well, it's not an actual photo of Poussin because he lived well before any digital cameras. I could never get a good film photo to show his features because he was so black. He did look very much like it, however. I like most types of cats and at the time had a ginger with a white tux and a black one with a white tux too. (I'm not keen on the siamese). Last night, I cycled past a magnificent black one with a red leather collar sitting calmly on the footpath around midnight in an empty street. I resisted the temptation to "yoink" him. Cheers, PB
