*scoffs* heh, I always laugh when people say "love and tolerate". Sure, we do band together every now and then to fix serious problems, like when SOPA was around. But other than that, "Love and tolerate" is just a general stereotype. We may look like we love and tolerate, and we do, sometimes, but when you look further into the fandom, you uncover nothing but wasted time arguing over small topics, hate on other bronies, hate on haters, hate against whatever else there is... =\

While I do realize that not everyone is going to starting caps lock raging against me, in fact I've been receiving mostly good messages, I will say that while most of my rants do apply to many fanbases, they apply mostly towards pony fanbase. You see, I was addicted to World of Warcraft for quite some time not too long ago. And despite that my addiction for the game is over by now, I will say that their fanbase was quite different, but yet the same in many ways. I never noticed any fanon=canon, or shipping couples, and I never really saw much of conspiracy going on either. But all the others go on as well. And I'm assuming that the WoW fanbase had much of the things that I didn't see, because I never really went on websites dedicated mostly to WoW. Every fanbase goes through what the pony fanbase goes through, but its a bit different for each. its hard to explain, and its complicated, but the reaction, acceptability, and flame wars are all different in their own special way
