wow, you do have quite a few good ideas in there >.< and actually, not very many people have been showing hate towards me. I've mostly been getting people saying "I agree with what you say, and there's either something that I would make a minor change on or add". But it was an easy message to read.

Good Lord. I apologize for the illegibility of that message; the ichc communication system apparently does not use paragraphs.

http://chzbronies.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/4bccfc7d-767e-4bde-8aed-928e9b3d78a2.jpg Amen to that; well said. I agree wholeheartedly with each of your grievances, and would not dispute any of them. Please understand I do not wish to offend in any way, but merely had a few ideas worth sharing (you might elect to disregard the message, and you are completely free to do so). The activity deemed inappropriate is typically the work of a select few; the minority of the minority (the few of those who access such ideas, and the even more select few who spread them). It's not easy to create original, worthwhile, and appropriate material, so one of those three elements is almost always sacrificed. Consequently, the work produced that *does* meet the golden standard is relatively rare. Canon and fanon are two separate entities and should remain so - and I believe the majority of the brony community would agree. As one is guilty until proven innocent, fanon is just that until proven otherwise. HOWEVER, when fanon does, in fact, gain explicit recognition by the show's producers, therein lies the beauty of a subculture. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/122/114/130232443562.gif As difficult as it is, one must admit that we do not live in Equestria. As a result, a particular character flaw pervades our lives with few exceptions; hypocrisy. People (especially the smart ones) develop impeccable moral codes, but putting them into practice is always easier said than done. Despite the difficulties, love and toleration are aspects of the brony community - and The Element of Honesty forms part of the foundation on which the storyline is built. It's been worn out and hackneyed to the point of insignificance, but it's true: "hate" is an awfully strong word. This does not mean it's inappropriate (hate the sin all you want), but the less-than-likable in the brony community are still members of that family. A person is not defined by their poor behavior, and that's something for which we (and our bratty siblings) can all be grateful. Just a few thoughts - and thanks for reading! Now to convince myself that I believe it.
