Not on PC, but people who are into that usually pull out framedata and hitboxes for the general public, the way smash is played, it's not really needed to know frame data, but for mortal kombat it's kinda important to know it, since if you know how unsafe something is, you can combo them, which combos as the name implies are really just showing off your skills heh.

Take mortal kombat for examples, they have the best list of combo moves and special list of fighting games, the new one tells you how unsafe or how safe it is, you can check the hitboxes online for others like Smash.

It depends, like most have to do with the frames the move has, the laggier the move, the less responsive it feels.

Their not for all, if you have plenty of friends, more power to ya, i don't have many living close, so i rather not spend on them either, that's why i am more into competitive fighting games.
