I know what you mean. This whole year has been surreal so far. As far as Halloween, my hubby and I over the last 6 years have really gotten into the fan conventions, which unfortunately this year have all been canceled (we were going to 7 different ones), but our favorite one is called Crypticon. It's a horror convention. We have the most fun there with all the Hallowee-esque costumes, etc. They hold it in May. Halloween is also my favorite holiday. As for the con, I've met so many of the actors from my favorite shows/movies. The best meet was with Ross Striener who played the brother at the beginning of the original Night of the Living Dead. I went up to him (at this con you can go up the celebs and talk and get photos taken and signed) and all I told him was 'my name is Barbara' and he knew instantly what I wanted, which, of course, was for him to say his famous line. "they're coming for you, Barbara.' I've got video of him saying that to me. What really is awesome is I have been friends with him and his wife since then. Yes, I count down to Halloween. We sure don't need any help with the year being so weird. Stay well.

Paparazzi hater is my hostesses kitter NIMBUS. I was visiting these ppl in Oregon when the pandemic orders descended. Luckily we are more compatible than many; Been 800+ miles from home n family but we all seem to be resilient, selfsufficient, to endure.

It's almost time to get another kitty. In the past year, we've lost 2 of our 3 kitties.The last time we had someone new was 15 years ago this month. We keep waffling on adding another because if we get a kitten (which I want) it would probably outlive us and we have no one near that would take them. A few years ago we were at 4 dogs and 3 cats. Now it's the one cat and 2 dogs. One of our dogs is 15 and won't be with us too much longer. *sigh* I wish fur babies lived longer. My oldest kitty was 18.5 when she passed. Hope you're staying safe and are well.

Couldn't turn my back on all the unsaved ones. *SNIF* The streets usually give me my noobs but my last stray hung out for 4 years and vanished. Weetabix. I live on edge of wilderness in LA county and all the strays get nailed here by large predators. We now have 4 senior cats and the supply line isn't sending us new candidates. *more snif*
