I've been OK, thanks for asking. And yourself? You haven't been here in some time! It's been a pretty typical year for us, except for the loss of our friend in January. It took months, but a coroner's report finally came. She died of accidental overdose. She'd had numerous surgeries over the years, including back surgery and major are surgery after she fell from a horse. She was on painkillers, but also sometimes "borrowed" something else from a friend AND her mom. Neither of them knew about her borrowing from the other person. None of us realized how much she was relying on meds in general. Sigh... Luckily, nothing else major has come our way so far in 2012. We've been having a heat wave here in central Kansas, but we had one last year, too, and it's probably going to become routine. We were over 100'F for about 2 weeks before we had a slight break this week. One day in the 80s and then slowly creeping back up to another projected 100+ spell starting early next week. I don't do well in high heat, so I'm spending most of my time indoors. Between the internet, books, cable TV and a backlog from hell of housework (thanks to the first 3...) I've got plenty to keep me busy. Congrachamalayshunz on ur latest kitteh adopshun! All 6 of our inside kittehs were strays. The two oldest were found with their litter mates under a ton of grass clippings at a dump for yard waste, no mama anywhere around. They were so fortunate that the man who found them was married to an old hand at fostering tiny baby kittehs. We learned of them because she and I go to the same chiropractor and he knew we'd lost my last cat a couple months before and told me about the babies.
