Yeah, my grandparents both died from it. It's definitely difficult to watch. But that's a great way to look at it: it's the legacy that'll last forever in his memory. I think I need to go watch some MLP now...this is making me sad haha

Alzheimer's isn't a pretty affliction. I support completely because I respect him deeply as an author and as a person. He's left behind treasured works to sustain his voice for the eons.

Most likely. My favorite author Terry Pratchett isn't long for this world either. He's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and has chosen to die honorably according to his desire to perform "assisted suicide". C'est la vie, I suppose.

This hits me especially hard because I only just started using a Mac OSX :C. This actually happened before. In middle school I did a project on Paul Newman, highlighting all of his greatest achievements including his movie career and his humanitarian efforts and his line of condiments. The day after I got an A+ on the assignment, he died. . .
