K, you're losing me with your sarcasm (right?). "Cheezburger", as in Ben Huh, the CEO of Cheezburger. Sure, people can say anything, but I'd think the Cheezlords would put a quick end to anyone imitating him. However, almost 1000 friends takes a while.

I'm not against the new format so much as how they've gone about things. My lol 6006706944 says it best. I've dropped my petition, though. I don't think it'll catch on because people realize that nothing they say/do will stop the progression. OH! and hopefully unrelated given timing, THE Cheezburger befriended ME?! At first I thought, "How can a site do that?" until I checked the user behind the request. :o I asked why, and he said because I seem engaged with the community. *shrug* Still, I'm curious how he noticed me...

Yeah, I'm certainly not a fan of the new beta. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out. I find myself spending far less time on this site since the beta rolled out - and that's NOT what advertisers want. Hopefully they have a good reason for the changes because otherwise they may see site traffic slow down which will have a HUGE impact on their advertising revenue.

Thanks. :D My goal was mutual celebration, but jealousy works. LOL! Right now, I'm miffed at Beta's further, detrimental invasion. It was okay for my sub-sites, but when it f*cks up individual views? So, I started a "petition" today.(cheezburger.com/6008041472) Not sure if it's well received, though, because the new favs counter isn't working, and there's no individual voting... >:p However, no one's signed (ie: recapped), but it's too soon to judge. *shrug*

Oh, I will add this: memes have changed my attitude towards recapping. Somewhat. LOL! I'm still fiercely one-off, but it can be fun to see how many times something can be recapped, and laugh at other people's take. Agreed. And actually, I didn't realize those were meme characters, because you'd said "I haven't really tried to make a meme yet. I do a lot of crying dawson and yappy chihuahua..." I thought they were comic characters or something. LOL! Really, though, I can't complain, because they're only 2 weeks old. In fact, I've only been here 2 months. Time will tell... :)

Ditto the "ADD". And yeah, if any of my characters come to life, I'll probably lay off, because I also hate copying others. Notice you saw my Mark. LOL! He's one underhanded punk. Even if someone jacked the wording on one of my characters' memes, and it was Featured, I'd be happy. (C'mon, mods! Feature my b*tches!) ;) That's why Obamhurrr took. Someone's was featured on Derp.

It's a good point! I get mildly frustrated when I see copies of my wording, true frustration when I see poor spelling or poor rewording of my wording, but I'm most embarassed when I discover that I've inadvertently done the same thing to someone else - especially if their is actually better but mine made the front page! :P

BTW, I see you did a bunch of Suzies on Meme Generator, so thanks for that as well. :) Have you copied your memes between there and here, and vice versa? At least with Obamhurrr, whoever uploaded the pic here did so anonymously, and I have the "time-stamped" original. ;) He's up now on Generator (http://memegenerator.net/Obamhurrr), and I plan on copying from here to there while logged out as retribution. :p Muahaha! LOL! Also, I up'd Lindsay Lohurrr here and there (http://memegenerator.net/Lindsay-Lohurrr) but who knows if she'll take. *shrug*

Duplicates seem the nature of memes, unfortunately. Worse is when theirs makes Featured instead of yours. :s Duplication is why I've avoided memes prior to my characters. Notice how they're the only thing under My Pics? On purpose. I have an oddly jealous desire to be unique, and do most lols in Photoshop. When I need to use Builders? Pic deleted.

That sucks. The most disappointing for me is when I do a caption and I see someone else do the same caption a few days later. Not a huge deal, but it kind of sucks when people steal your ideas. I haven't really tried to make a meme yet. I do a lot of crying dawson and yappy chihuahua, but that's just because I like my pics to be slightly different then what everyone else sees all of the time.
