They live a day's drive away so we had Christmas with them this past weekend. All I heard was how terrible I looked, why didn't I put on some make-up for Pete's sake?!, why was I so skinny, and why wasn't I over playing cards and dominoes and spending more time with the family while they were in? Finally Mark, my boyfriend came over. He only has Sunday off so he missed the festivities Thurs-Sat. My Aunt started in on me - again - and Mark shut her down. He also shut up everyone who had things to say about me by telling them snippits of how I am terribly sick, on a morphine patch, and lucky THEY were that I cared enough to even get out of bed for them. Well said, honey! That's one of the many reasons I love him!

I will check them out! Thank you! My only problem with online support groups is that they tend to ignore you the first couple of posts to see if you are gonna stick it out. If I am in trouble and pouring out my soul, I don't want to be ignored, ya know? (sure you do...). Apparently my parents have not shared with the rest of the family that I am "sick". They usually leave it vague and general because I caught 9 kinds of shit this past Sunday from Mom's side of the family.

I heard from a net-frend that savella finally started working for her arth and also did not do a number on the fibro. You're right, we does the best we cans. I belong to a site, BigFishGames and there is one thread is Fibromyalgia and other invisible diseases and another is Depression. Both good to read and you can post if you give BFG (never spams) ur email. I think you might find some empathetic ppl there in any of the threads. ttyl *huggls*

The doctor said neither osteo or rheumatoid - just inflammatory arthritis. Now that the morphine patch and the Tramadol is kicking Fibro's ass, my joints are flared up really bad. the doctor put me on Savella. So far, no help, but I'm willing to wait a little while longer. Been sick over 10 years so what's another month or two? AND - you are TOTALLY correct about the rest of it. I just became a hermit. I quit work, 2 volunteer jobs, 2 clubs, and all my favorite activities. All we can do is our best, I agree! *BIG Hug*

I'm so glad your fibro slacked off. Mine is doing okay with exercise and Cymb. Do u has osteo or rheumatiod ? Mine is osteo and I'm glad to live where it isnt too cold or damp most of the year. Glad but I complain anyway. LOL. Can be real difficult to coordinate meds/activity/pain/everything, can't it? I duz my best; u do 2, aifinkso. xox

My fibromyalgia is nowhere to be found (YEA!!!) but now the arthritis wants to be abully because he's been on the back buener for a couple of years (little shithead!) - but I can get out of bed now and take care of my babies by myself and the pain level is much, much lower. So I am "a HAPPY grrl!". Thank you for noticing : )

Thank you. I hate to sound whiney but I had completely given up on ever feeling "normal" again. I told my doctor I "was just waiting to die" and he actually cried. He promised to find me something for my fibromyalgia & arthritis - and I'm allergic to codeine and synthetic codeine too. He's very sweet. I take 8 Tramadol a day, and I am on a morphine patch, and I take Mobic for the arthritis.
