It was Hurricane Rita, Sept. 2005, just 28 days after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Louisiana. No one noticed Rita (but us!!!) because people were dying in New Orleans and the government botched the evacuation and rescues horribly! They're still talking about Rita!

I walked him back to his bowl and there, inside of his bowl munching away on his dogfood was a small mouse!!!! He looked at the mouse then back up at me as if to say, "please get him out of my bowl so that I can eat without worrying about eating him by mistake"! I pulled the little mouse out by his tail and put him outside. All of our dogs are so sweet they wouldn't know what to do if they had to fend for themselves!

Actually.... we had a hurricane come thru here 3 years ago and the mice moved inside! LOL! I've rescued so many baby animals that my other animals do not hurt anything without permission! After the hurricane we were without power for 18 days. One night just after we had fed all the dogs, one of my dogs (a 120 lb Mastiff mix) left his bowl and came to me and sat down in front of me. He looked upset and I couldn't figure out why he wasn't eating like everyone else.

The iguanas eat mostly vegetables and a little fruit. The bearded dragon and salamander eat crickets mostly, but the dragon also likes veggies and fruit. Attilla eats mostly rats, sometimes raw chicken or raw hamburger. Iguanas & bearded dragons make good pets. The salamander lives in an aquarium setting, with a dry surface he can climb up on. They are easy, friendly little guys. The iguanas are a lot like dogs or cats if you tame them and treat them like family. Ours likes the pizza delivery man - whenever he comes our iguana goes to the door to see him (he really just wants to know if there is pepperoni on the pizza - a rare treat for him!).

I have cats and dogs too so the smaller lizards do not get to be loose in the house all the time - just when they can be supervised. The iguanas are loose 24/7 but can get in a cage if they want. The Nile Monitor is too big to be out all the time because she is big enough (6 feet long and 18 pounds) to kill a cat or small dog - so she only gets supervised time out loose in the house. Everyone gets along great - except for the monitor. Attilla is very aggressive, which is their nature. They do not make good pets but I took her because someone was stuck with her and did not want her. I was afraid they would turn her loose (spring, summer, and fall would be okay but she'd die in winter. I'll try to get some pix of them up for you to see!

O we're fine, thnx 4 askin! R u REELY n Pakistan? Were u born there or did u move there later? I've never been anywhere but the United States & Canada. I've always herd that Americans r hated everywhere else & that has made me afraid 2 travel. Can't get stuk n another country when Ai haz so many little mouths 2 feed back home. Last time I went on vacation my pet-sitter quit bcause she said 1 of my Lizards tried 2 kill her - NOT TRUE! She just wanted to scare her! - Well it worked! Now I'd have to find a new pet-sitter if I left for more than a couple of days!
