could be, he just reminded me too much of jerry springer, but without the trashy inbreds. but my mom used to listen to him before he discovered political shock jock pays beau coup bucks. didn't care for him so much then either. but you are right about giving someone a fair chance before forming an opinion

Honestly, you ought to give it a week of actual listening before you make an opinion. I gave Mike Molloy a week before I deemed him a raging lunatic, but at least I gave him a week of listening for the entire show :-) Rush has a lot of repetitiveness, but a lot of that has to do with the media. You have to repeat a lot on the radio because your audience drops in and out. Any good radio host knows that.

arrgh, of course there were more ditto-heads listening to him, they were waiting to be told that the four riders were upon the horizon... i don't get listening to him - the last time i did, he only had about 15 minutes of rant then started repeating himself - same incendiary phrases and all, but different callers dubbed in.

Limbaugh's share went up.....WAAAAAAAAY up, especially in January. The last I've heard the numbers from Feb on aren't in yet, but I imagine that Obama and Rahm waging war on Limbaugh, it will go up even more. They didn't pick a good battle on this one. Rush has been in business far too long to be damaged over that.

thanks for the update on the radio listeners - that definitally is a better system! do you have a site for it? and any chance limbaugh's market share went down?

Hey, remember the convo the other day about radio ratings? I have news on that front :-) They used to calculate ratings by using a diary system, which is deeply flawed at best. Now they've been using a Personal People Meter that works kind of like a Neilson box. If you change the station, it logs that, along with what station you changed to and how long you listened. It's much more acurate!
