Other cities in Brazil you might want to know are Fortaleza, Recife and probably some cities in the state of Bahia. It's a huge country, if you ever get the chance, come spend some time in it \o/

Sure! The only place I've been in South America outside Brazil was Buenos Aires. It's such a pretty city, you should totally put it on your list!

Yeah i know, but its still somewhere Id love to go for a few weeks. I had planned to travel either up or down the coast anyway - there are projects that focus on South Central America (Costa Rica and Panama especially), and I have friends in Peru and Colombia to visit. Would be nice to have someone to visit in Brasil as well :)

Well... But I gotta warn you the rainforest is not everywhere in Brasil. The coast has its own species, the rainforest is mostly in the northern states, close to the Equator line. If you want to work with turtles, you should get to know the Tamar project: http://www.tamar.org.br/

Ahh I can imagine :) Gotta love the beaches - I was looking at doing some marine conservation work down there next year. There are a few great places to do work with sea turtles! :D But I would have to see the rest of it as well. Im a big tree person, so the rainforest is a must for me :) It sounds so much more lively than here though! Im stuck out in the middle of the country haha. Not that im complaining, its beautiful. Just not a lot going on :P

What can I say... São Paulo is a really big city, quite overwhelming actually. There are really good things - like, you're never out of places to go any day of the week - and there're bad things as well. The traffic jams are annoying and public transportation could be better. I like it, though. Also, it's hard finding a job as a designer in many other places. But if you're coming to Brazil, you might as well wanna stick to the beaches, they're beautiful :)
