Sometimes it's timing. The kitty FP I have with the most votes (~5700: "Editor Kitty") is actually a rerun - I recreated it verbatim from one I'd done months earlier. The second time it really took off.

Thanks Duckman! You know again... It's funny. I really don't like that one. I hate to use "cliche" jokes and I did that one a long time ago. When I made it, I thought "everyone and their grandmama is gonna say the same thing." I was pretty shocked that one made it. I guess I just like the ones that come out of left field, ya know?
