Thank you so much for the Y UNOWN. Thanks to your help, I've now completed the PokeMemes collection. :) I see you've got your collections completed as well, but let me know if you need any extras. ~ Hope all is well with you. *hugs*

Ohai kittydoc! Thanks so much for the holiday wishes. Rob is working, so I don't have any special plans. I had a pre-Easter dinner over at Kitty Corner with my friends Friday night though, and that was nice. I hope you have a lovely Easter as well. Take care, MelB

Hi MelB, just stopping by to say Happy Caturday. With the weather so nice, my list of things to do has tripled so I have missed talking to my cheezfrends. Hope you are well!

Ohai Kittydoc! I agree, it was such a nice feeling to finally see the "completed" on that last retired set. I felt such a relief, like I could finally get back to the chatting and the LOLz again. It's a lot more fun to trade around collectibles for my friends now that I'm not endlessly chasing down the uber-rares. Now hubby is working on getting a Turkey and Thermometer for his collection, and I help him out when I feel like it. ~ The lady who lived here before us was quite the landscaper, and I worry I will have a green enough thumb to keep up with what she's done. I want to put up some of my garden statues, but otherwise I think I'm going to try to leave most of the landscaping as-is though. I will have to wait until the snow is gone before I can really plan out what I'm going to do with the landscaping though, but I'm looking forward to it. ~ Take care, and have a good rest of the week! ~MelB

Happy Caturday! I totally agree with the disbelief at excitement due to computer graphic, but all the same I *like* seeing that field of color collectibles. Now I have more time to start yard work. :( Really though, that's a good thing. Spring is truly here and I can feel the warmth and sunshine in my heart. Hope you have a great weekend.

LOL! You know, it was exactly the same for me when I finally got the thermometer I was searching for. :) It was right after Tigger had died, and I was just so tired of endlessly searching and friending and trying to trade, etc ... and I had just finished writing a post to one of my cheezpals on how it had been 6 weeks with no luck, and I was giving up on searching, at least for awhile ... and so I made the post to her, then I came back to my dashboard to see if anyone had left me any new messages and there were like 3 "congrats on the thermometer" posts. and my jaw just dropped open, and I was boggled. I went to my collectibles page and Bang! there it was. and I had this huge wave of relief, like something I had been working so hard for was finally over. It really changed a lot about how I felt about the site when my free time here wasn't spent chasing one down, and I could actually chat and play here again. Now I look back on that time and go "What was I thinking, getting so obsessed over a graphic?" but at the time I wanted so much to complete my collection. I'm super glad I was able to complete my collection, but now I want the collectibles to be something I do for fun, not something that feels like work. Hubby is still working on his retired collectibles, but with a little bit of guidance he's getting better searching them out on his own. :) ~ Valentine's Day wasn't that good for us this year. We both had to work on the 14th. Originally we planned to celebrate on the 13th, then I got a horrible stomach virus that had me sick all day and night. Blych! How about you - any special Valentine's Day Celebrations for you? ~ Enjoy your Thanksgiving Buffet :) and have a great night. ~ MelB

Holy Canoli, I know! I didn't even know til I saw your message. It will be nice just to chat with people and make lolz. Hope you are doing all right. Anything special for Valentine's Day?

Woo Hoo! Happy Turkey congratulations to you! I'm so glad to see you finally got one. Now you've got every set completed! :)

Ohai kittydoc! Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Congrats on getting all the Valentine's Collectibles! I'm sorry to see you are still Turkey-less, that's such a hard one to find and I wish you luck in getting it. ~ Take care and have a great Valentine's Day. *hugs* MelB

Ohai kittydoc! I know you're looking for a turkey, and so I've kept my eyes out too. I found someone with an extra turkey (4 actually), but he's never gifted and there's a -lot- of folks begging for it. Still, I wanted to pass this your way http://cheezburger.com/MidwestBurger/Collectibles and wish you the best of luck. ~ If it turns out that you don't need the extra thermometer to get your turkey, please consider letting me make an offer for it. I'm looking for the thermometer for a cheezpal. ~ I do know how hard the search is, and I wish you luck on it. Hang in there, that great big *phew* you feel when you realize you have all the retired collectibles is worth it. Thanks and good luck! ~ MelB

Hi MelB, Thanks for looking out for me--I had already sent a friend request. I feel bad for Joe though. It's like a bad zombie movie and he's the last one alive. "TUUUURKEY! TUUUUURRKEY! :D Anyway, hope you are doing well.

Ohai kittydoc! How goes things with you? I saw in another post that you were looking for a turkey. I found some1 with an extra turkey, though I don't know if he'll trade because he seems to have everything. Give it a shot though - http://cheezburger.com/ichc.joe/Collectibles - Good Luck!

Ohai kittydoc! I agree. I don't think I could ever understand what experiences Tigger must have faced as a feral, but to see the world without fear has got to be overwhelming. Until his spirit is ready to be seen by me again, I'll just hold his memories in my heart. I do hold firm to the belief that whatever heaven / afterlife there is, that I will see Tigger there again. *hugs * MelB

Hi MelB, it's beautiful here today and I was thinking about a couple of little pets I had and thought if a kitty was experiencing a wonderful world for the first time completely without fear or distrust ever really that it would just be an explosion of wonderful things that MUST be taken in. Tigger will come back to you I believe. Right now his spirit is soaring in a way he could never understand in his life. You'll feel him again soon enough.

By robinrescues on Jan 26, 2011 at 7:30 PM

Ohai kittydoc. Thank you for your kind words about Tigger. Please don't feel bad about reading my message to Nippy - I feel like I have so many good friends here, and I would have said the same things to you if we had been chatting together too. I'm still trying to come to terms with the absence I feel for Tigger, but between something my husband said this AM and a bit of enlightenment that came while I was meditating, I'm feeling more hopeful now. I think it's like you said, about Tigger loving me back in a quiet, once feral way. Even after all the time we spent together, it still made Tigger uncomfortable to be snuggled or even looked at for too long. and perhaps that’s why sensing Grace and my other domesticated pet cats comes so much easier, where with Tigger I can't feel him. Rob feels if I'm looking for him (like I have been) even in spirit, it may be his instinct to hide - whereas if I can relax and let him come to me, it will happen when I'm not expecting it.

part 2: I can only hope that is the case, and that perhaps it will happen one day. Don't apologize for going on, what you wrote did help me a lot. Besides, lately I can't seem to post anything that's short ;) Seriously though, a friendship like you is priceless - and I want to thank you for being there for me. You words have made more of a difference then you know *hugs* MelB

Melanthiabast--I read what you wrote to Nippy. Didn't mean to intrude but just have so much sympathy for you. Tigger's disease was severe, please don't feel guilt about letting him go before he was so very sick the decision would have been "clear". His body, soul and heart never had to feel how bad his disease could be and that's a mercy. Also, I'm sure Tigger loved you in a quiet, once-feral way. Our loving pets would not want us to be sad and tortured about their deaths. Our pets want and love us happy and I don't think that changes when they die. While it's impossible not to be sad, don't feel bad or mistaken for the care you gave and tough calls you made. You did the best you could and they came from love and our pets feel that love til the end. Anyway, I'm sorry to go on, I just feel so much for you and hoping this helps.

I'm so sorry about your kitty--so very sad. I hope you get some solace knowing so many here feel for you.

Thanks for keeping me in mind if you find an extra thermometer, I've been saving my extra turkey to trade for it. ~ Thanks also for your kind words about my Tigger. I haven't had much good news though - after all he went through, the radiologist said his xray was "inconclusive" for lung cancer. So after all the testing he endured, we still don't know why he's so sick. Our vet's looking into a local specialty center that my be able to do further testing on Tigger. for now I'm just trying to take it day by day and be grateful he's still here.

I would love to find you a thermometer to swap for your turkey! Too true about just getting back to lolz. I also saw about your kitty Tigger too--so hope everything comes back ok! I'm sure it's been miserable waiting for the results.

Ohai kittydoc! I hope this finds you doing well. Currently I'm searching for a Thermometer - it's the last retired collectible I need, and I would really like to finally complete my Dr. TinyCat collection so I can get back to enjoying the lolz. If you come across anyone with an extra thermometer, could you please let me know or send them my way? I'd greatly appreciate it! kthaxbi!
