From what I understand, African Greys are about the smartest bird there is...maybe even smarter than some people I know! Even though it would be great to get a bird, it would be hard for me to give the time & attention needed - I often feel guilty about ignoring my kittehs, and they aren't nearly as bothered about it as I am. Waves as I get ready for bed. Nice posting with you!

Oh, yeah, birds can be hilarious! I've had lots of different kinds. The best one of all was JoJo, my African Grey...raised her from a baby (btw, birds are just ugly when they're babies). After she reached one year old, she started talking. Her first words were, "Good morning" (in my voice). She learned to sound exactly like whatever sounds she liked and people's voices. Cussing was NOT allowed in my house! You could literally have a conversation with this bird. They're a hoot but they do need lots of attention and interaction.

Don't remember if I've said "hi!" yet, so I'll say it now. Nice to have you as a friend. I have 3 cats, grew up with many more, and several goggies, too. An ex-boyfriend had a cockatiel, which is the only bird I've known (but I just fell in love with her - I had no idea how smart and funny birds are!). I am happy you reached out to me! Thanks.
