Hey!! Long time, no talk- so much work, so little time... No, you didn't look how I imagined you to be, because when we went to America a couple of years ago (we were headed to Grand Canyon City) we got lost and accidently went to the Grand Canyon. There, we were met by some freidnly Navajo Indians who have us some directions on how to get to the city.... What type of bike do you ride? It sounds like you had lots of fun.. good on you. Thanks for your insight into the Dream Catchers- I've always wanted to know the connection. In Australia, Dream Catchers aren't blessed (at least I don't think so- you find them everywhere....) so maybe that's why I sometimes have nightmares? :) I have a question- I am coming to America next year.. We are going to New Orleans, Memphis, New York and Washington DC. Do you have any recommendations on what my family and I should do, go or see? Master ~ Hey Sweets... Good to hear from ya... Sounds like ya had a Great break !!! Awesome... Do I look anything like you pictured ??? I just got back from a three day motorcycle ride... Went through 3 states on the back roads to enjoy the beauty of Spring... Had a blast... Now I'm crammin' & playin' catch up between work & school, but it was sooo worth it !!! Now... to answer your question about Dream Catchers... Spirit & Truth... Our Elders teach that this is the Creators way... That all creation contains this duality... the "unseen" & the "seen".... That all physical objects posses a Spiritual force... This is true of the Dream Catcher as well... This beautiful object, without the Prayers & Spirit that go into it, is simply that... an object... It is when the Prayers & Spirit are added that the Power of the Dream Catcher comes to life... Traditionally Grandmothers would weave a small Dream Catcher to hang on the cradleboard of a child or they were hung high in the tepee... They were made with Prayers that the web would catch the bad dreams, while allowing the good dreams to pass through the hole in the center... The good dreams then fill the child or residents in the tepee with strong visions for the future & for life... Different tribes have different legends about how the dream catcher came in to being... But all agree on "What" the dream catcher is... As I've said before... We are a very Spiritual people, so Dreams are of high regaurd... They are interpreted as Visions... So the importance of "Good" visions or Dreams are a sign of a good life... Hope that answered your question... I make Dream Catchers as well as many other Native items... Hey Lil'Apache!! Everything here's fine as well- got two more assessments today (Ancient History and French), so apart from that, it's all good. In Aussie, we don't have the same breaks as you. We have a two week break to break up our work... That was a couple of weeks ago. We went to Coffs Harbour and Brunswick Heads, which was nice. We went for walks every morning along the beach, and it was beautiful!! We also went on day trips, to go on our normal pilgrimage- lunches, pub crawls (which are okay, I guess...), going fishing and just having a relaxing time. Here, it's getting into the colder months- it's the end of Autumn going into Winter. Ah well, only a few more months until the HSC.. I'm not looking forward to it.... I saw your Mother's Day LOL- I really, really liked it. I was not expecting that :) It was nice to see something other than the usual Mother's Day LOL's. Good for you. I have a question for you- do your people believe that Dream Catchers work? Is it symbolic, or just another grab at people's money? I'll talk to you later, ~master :)

Howdy Master... My Easter was good... I'm gonna get to celebrate it with my Grandson this comin' weekend... I'm sooo excited about it !!! It'll be the first Easter he'll be old enough to do the egg hunt & all that good stuff... I get my inspiration from life... I would be more than happy to share any knowledge or wisdom of my people with you any time... I'm just not sure what it is you want to know my perspective of... Let me know what it is your curious about or have questions about... I can tell you over all Natives are a very Spiritual People... & very connected with the land, animals, any living thing is treated with the utmost respect... And that's with any of the Tribes... I would Love to tell ya more... As I said just let me know what you want to know... Keep up your good work in studyin' ... How did you do on your exams ??? Hope you & yours had a Blessed Easter... Hey Lil'Apache!! I've been really busy- I did a week on compulsory work placement for Hospitality. It was difficult, because my supervisor was very moody, often yelling/grousing at me, monotonus and I really didn't enjoy the experience.... Otherwise, great!! Poor Starskai, she was in a massive fight last night with the Tom next door, and as a result, she has a massive gash on her right side.... She'll learn, hopefully... :( Aside from that, yeah, all good. How about you? How are your family? How is your job? I will look up your LOL, and let you know what I think. Hey. Week so far- sad... My Grandfather died on Rememberence Day and went to his funeral on Monday, came back yesterday and I have an exam today.... How are you? How's life in general? Wow, that's really awesome about your heritage. Yeah, I know about Thanksgiving and I would love to celebrate it, but in Aussie we can't.... Shame, sounds like a great time to catch up with the family. Your son's fiancee sounds swell doing it all by herself- doesn't it require a lot of time and dedication???? Hey Lil'Apache!! I've been coping- my grandfather passed away on Sunday morning at 10:00am. I am going to his funeral on Monday morning. Aside from that, yeah, everything's good. Don't worry about no contact- with your schedule, I can understand!! :) School's good- assessment time!! They go towards the HSC, so they're really important. Weather changes every day- really hot, freezing cold... Thanks for your blessings- really appreciated, as this is my 4th bout of depression. Try to stay warm!!
