Alrighty then!! Conga-rats on the fp!! It took me 4 years......yours are great & I expect to see a lot more goodies!! ;) *dansdansdans*

By GrammyOgg on Dec 2, 2011 at 7:11 PM

We'll have you LOL-ing like crazy before ya know it!! I stayed in the shadows for a while when I first came here......I've had just one fp & don't really care if I get another. I just wish I had my thumb drive that had so many OLD LOLz on it. One of my g'sons bent it & I can't retrieve the data on it now. *cries* There were some GREAT ones on there too. Glad you're doing good. In some cases, modern medicine is a blessing. {{{HUGZ}}}

When I saw that pic, I immediately thought of the Geico gecko. The caption just popped into my head. I'm doing pretty well. Thank goodness for diathermy and antidepressants! *lol*

Excellent!! That's a cool lizard too. ;) I love lizards......I grew up in FL & played with 'em all the time when I was a kid. I'd catch 'em & pet 'em for a while & then turn 'em loose in our hedge. I always knew where they lived & could get 'em again. ;) Hope you're doing fine. I'm unwinding from an insane week......& my pillow is calling me......I'm just ignoring it right now.

By myroom on Dec 2, 2011 at 6:44 PM

Well, I did it again! I made another LOL!

By GrammyOgg on Oct 1, 2011 at 4:42 PM

I left my message & un-friended them. They can reach me by my email & explain things. I wasn't too happy with that surprise "friending". If it turns out to be someone I'd like, I'll accept their friendship again in a minute. I just know there are several peeps on their friends list I'd rather not be around. Dunno what's up with Cheezland lately. hmmmmmm.......

Hi! I just learned that your "pookacabra" is now friends with my "petalchrome." Strange!

By GrammyOgg on Oct 1, 2011 at 11:15 AM

I don't have a clue! I'm not very happy about it, but I'm waiting for an explanation. Apparently this person has been around for about 3 years. I've never faved any of their LOLz & they don't have any favorites at all. Just gets curiouser & curiouser......*scratches head*

By myroom on Oct 1, 2011 at 11:12 AM

Hi, grammy! I just happened to notice your message to a stranger on your Friends' List. It caught my eye because the very same thing happened to me last night! I thought maybe I was just getting forgetful until I saw what you wrote. I came to my Dashboard Friday night and had a new person's profile pic on my Friends' List. I didn't know the person, and didn't remember sending or receiving a friend request. What's going on around here?!

By GrammyOgg on Aug 16, 2011 at 6:23 AM

Thank you for the b-day wishes! I just got home to a lovely little care package from a Cheezfriend. All witchy-faerie stuff that I love! As for the dr shredding test results ~ WTF?!!? Unless he has the results committed to memory or elsewhere in your chart (or they were inconclusive) he should have kept them, *I* would think. Did he/she offer any explanation?

By myroom on Aug 15, 2011 at 2:39 PM

Hi, Grammy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the 16th! *hugs* I have a question for you. What kind of doctor puts a patient's 4-week-old test results in the SHREDDER!! I'm fit to be tied! :(

By GrammyOgg on Jul 27, 2011 at 7:33 AM

Since WHEN do they change (an obviously LUCID) person's meds & NOT notify them of the change/proposed change?!!? That's frickkin' ridiculous!! If I were you, I'd request it at the times you used to have it anyway......they CAN'T refuse to give it to you.

By myroom on Jul 26, 2011 at 11:14 PM

Grammy, I'm "in sane," too! I sent Winnie a message earlier about how my Ativan was changed from twice a day to PRN; and none of the damn nurses even told me until last night. I don't know how long I've been going without it, but I've been having chest pain and everything else. That makes me so mad!

By GrammyOgg on Jul 26, 2011 at 7:08 AM

I'd be griping til hell wouldn't HAVE them! If I was closer, I would have come in & raised the roof high enough to put another floor in there!! If I were you, I'd be getting those nurses on Report asap. I'm not sure what the guidelines are there, but here in our apt complex, if the heat is above 80, maintenance HAS to come out whether it's a holiday, Sunday or the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to get things right. Even if all they do is install a couple of window units to help you survive until they can get the main unit repaired/replaced. That makes NO sense with the killing heat being the way it has been. My email address is on my profile if you don't want to discuss this on the boards, but I'm turning the air blue right now, cussin' about the way you're being treated. Sounds like a few nurses need to have an inservice in patient CARE!! I hope by now they've gotten it sorted & you're comfy again. Let me be in a place that's too warm.......they'll be holding the flashlight for the maintenance dude to install a NEW one! *grrrrrr* Take care & keep me posted. I hate I don't have internet at work right now......{{{cooling hugz}}}

Grammy, please see my long message to WALLY01 re: A/C. Thanks!

By GrammyOgg on Jul 24, 2011 at 4:16 AM

Onoes!! My a/c is out in my car. I've been waiting since the first of June for a friend to have the time to put a new thermostat on for me. I hope they move you or get somebody in there to fix your a/c. Something like that needs to be fixed asap ~ especially in a facility! What are they thinking?!!? I hope you can manage to stay cool, dearie! I'm glad you've got someone to visit.....especially a cheezfriend! Thats great news!

By myroom on Jul 23, 2011 at 8:45 PM

Hi, Grammy! We're about to die from the heat here, and my air conditioner went out this afternoon. Maintenance man won't be back until Monday morning. I may have to move to another room. Test results won't be in until next week. I have a friend on this website who has been to see me several times in the past week. We live in the same town, and her username is wally01. She is the nicest lady!

By GrammyOgg on Jul 8, 2011 at 8:25 AM

Nawt gonna delete anybody any time soon. ;) If/Whenever they have another marathon lol thing like this one (FINALLY!) over, I'll be thinning down the peeps who are going mad, faving the stuff. Hopefully it's over for a while. Oh dear. An entire day of tests/scans does nawt sound like fun. Hopefully it will give you some relief from the cramps though. Won't be fun going through it, but worth it if you get some help. Awwh! I remember growing up in FL when the itty-bitty froggies would be all over the place. I was afraid to walk in some places for fear of stepping on 'em.

By myroom on Jul 7, 2011 at 6:21 PM

Hi, Grammy! I like the Cat Butt Sours LOL! Please don't delete me! :) Did I tell you that the Doppler Scan turned out OK? The MD showed up last night after supper while I was watching TV. I had to stop and think what I wanted to say to him. On July 18th, I have to go to Jackson on a special van to get a Nerve Conduction Study done on my legs. That will probably take most of the day. :( My lab work was OK, so I guess something else must be causing the muscle cramps. Why do our bodies have to be so hard to figure out? I made a "small animal" rescue in the shower stall this morning. I picked up an itty, bitty teeny, tiny baby frog and gave it to my friend to put outside (the friend who gave her baby frog a shower). It was even smaller than the one I found in my room that night! Take care. Luv ya, Phyllis :) (((BIG HUGS)))

Ohhh! *patpatpat* My mom would have had a birthday the end of August. Can't remember how old she would have been. She flatly refused to tell me her age when I was younger. I miss her too. {{{bigbighugz}}}

By myroom on Jul 1, 2011 at 9:18 PM

Hi, Grammy! My ultrasound report was OK. The MD will be here July 5th, and I'll try to talk to him then. We're not doing anything here. We had hot dogs, pork & beans and potato chips for lunch today; and BBQ on buns, baked beans and potato salad for supper tonight. A little earlier, a cat LOL by thipthapthoo made me cry. A lil black monorail kitteh was missing his mommee and trying to hear her voice. Today (July 1st) would have been my mother's 86th birthday. Gosh, I really do miss her! (((HUGS)))

Awwwh! Baby froggies!! My oldest g'son has a stuffed toy froggie he's had since he was a baby. He'll be 5 the end of next month. Poor froggie has had his arms loved off, one leg is barely on & he used to giggle. His mom found a new one just like the old one for him on ebay or Amazon & bought it for him. He's tickled with the new one, but won't give up the old one just yet. I'll always have the picture in my mind of him with Froggie. Hopefully, he'll become attached to the new froggie & we can store the old one. No WAY are we tossing him out!! Hopefully they'll narrow down what's ailing your legs. Both the Parkinson's & the diabetes will affect nerves, so perhaps that's another thing to investigate. I LOVE that the nurse wasn't as smart as she wanted you to believe she was!! I've worked with nurses who would come ask ME stuff. Mainly cos they knew I read all the time & pay attention to the news reports about new treatments & research.`Pays to pay attention. *grin* I've locked horns with many a nurse when I didn't think they were doing the right thing. My mentor was a crusty old RN with a 'question EVERYTHING' philosophy. I guess it rubbed off. I was lucky to work with some fantastic nurses who didn't mind teaching me anything I wanted to know.......and a lot I didn't!! Glad you liked NCcharmer's lol. I howled when I saw it......she's a hoot! She's also an awesome lady. I like her a lot. Hope they line up that Nerve Conduction Study soon & it gets them headed in the right direction to get you some relief. Keep me posted. I'll be interested to find out what they learn. {{{great big skwershy hugs}}}

By myroom on Jun 30, 2011 at 4:23 PM

Hi, Grammy! I just came back online and saw NC Charmer's LOL about a male without an erection and makin' him a sandwich! OMG! *LOL* Well, I finally got my Doppler Scan Wed. In fact, it was kinda funny the way it worked out. The nurses still didn't do anything on Mon. Then Tues. afternoon, the Psych doctor came back, saw me in the hall and asked about the test. I told him that I hadn't been able to get anyone to do anything about it. There was a different nurse working that day, and she called the MD's office and got it approved and set up for Wed. morning. I think they ruled out a blood clot and PAD. The technician suggested that I talk to the MD about doing a Nerve Conduction Study. She said my problems could possibly be related to the Parkinson's or the diabetes. I told her about the nurse who said that I would be dead if I had a blood clot, and her mouth dropped open. She told me that there is a type of clot called a "chronic blood clot" that doesn't move. It attaches itself to the walls of the artery or vein. So I guess that nurse doesn't know as much as she thinks she does! *LOL* Love you, (((HUGS))) P.S. We've got little baby frogs jumping around inside the building. I had one in my room one night, and one of my friends found one in the shower room today. She said she gave it a shower before she put it outside. She's precious!

By GrammyOgg on Jun 27, 2011 at 6:02 AM

Sometimes just a gentle reminder to the nurse that she has people over her can help get them motivated......dunno why some people think they can be called a nurse. One of my favorite quotes from M*A*S*H was Hawkeye telling one of the nurses, '*nurse* is also a verb!' Keep after 'em! Glad I had another collectible you could use! LOVEYOU!!

By myroom on Jun 26, 2011 at 10:46 PM

Hi, Grammy! Thanks a bunch for the Losing Weight collectible! After supper tonight, I started bugging the nurses again about trying to get in touch with the M.D. to ask him to order a Doppler scan. I'll ask them again Monday morning; and, if I don't have any luck, then I can always go to the DON or the Administrator. Luv you! (((HUGS)))

By GrammyOgg on Jun 26, 2011 at 4:39 AM

Well I always say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep on telling them & complaining til they make the app't for you. There's some cause for the leg cramps & there's also got to be some kind of relief. That day nurse needs to run into a DON I used to work under.......she'd be given an inservice on how to relate to residents.......there are some people who don't deserve to be nurses. Stay strong! LOVEYOU!!!

By myroom on Jun 25, 2011 at 7:52 PM

Hi, Grammy! Thanks for thinking of me. I'm still limping along and waking up almost every morning with leg cramps in my left leg. I've been so frustrated over the seeming indifference of the day nurses to my situation, and the fact that I haven't been able to get any of them to call the M.D. to order a Doppler scan. One of them made me mad this morning when she insulted me by saying that "If I had had a blood clot for 3 months or whatever it's been, I'd be dead!" Maybe so, but I've got sense enough to know that there are other things you can have besides a blood clot! I've been checked for PAD in the past, and there are probably other things, too! There were some other things said also that I won't even get into. :(

By GrammyOgg on Jun 24, 2011 at 7:24 AM

Let me know how things work out. I hope it's something with a simple fix! Today's the day I usually snooze a little. *smoochies*

By myroom on Jun 23, 2011 at 9:14 PM

Hi, Grammy, I got your message earlier; but my laptop would barely work, and I finally just had to shut it down for a long rest. Thanks for the good wishes, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend off! (((BIG HUGS)))
