Popping in to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Festive Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Solstice and Happy Thursday! Got a turkey in the oven and a load of laundry in the dryer so can't hang out. Just hope everyone's well (or as well as any of us ever get) and having as good a time as manageable!

Well, need to have something to eat with my neck meds. They work, but MAN, do they knock the stuffings out of you! Night all.

I have a feeling that for my 'rents at least, the gift will be Christmas dinner. I'm going to have to cook it this year. As for the rest, I think Dad's just putting my name on the gifts to the kids along with his and Mom's. My friends are very cool with a card and a hug.

I'd knit gifts... if I knew that they'd be worn. It wasn't a cold, but a floo. I beat that floo to death with garic, ginger and clementines. APC, did you know that Compliments (a store brand) Cranberry Ginger Ale has no Cranberries or Ginger in it? I checked the ingredients. It should be Cranberry-Flavoured, Ginger-ale like beverage. Maybe I should call Pat Foran? Marketplace? (Pat Foran is a consumer affairs reporter, and Marketplace is dedicated to investigating fraud)

Apparently, they say you need something called "Money" to get Christmas presents for other people. What's with that? What happened to the spirit of giving?

Lemme get the duct tape. And, hey, you can say it's a beautiful silver choker that you got as a pre-Catmas gift from a friend! (Rips off two meters of duct tape. Starts reattaching Rhoda's head.)

Did someone lose a head? I found one out in the yard. It looks in good shape, but the brain's missing.
By safrida on Dec 2, 2014 at 7:42 PM
Between fever and hormones, I'll melt any snow.
By safrida on Dec 2, 2014 at 7:07 PM
Rhoda, ;you realize you can't go back inside now. I hazza sick. Now you're covered with germs. APC,the cleaning crew said they'd coming back tomorrow to finish the kitchen.
By safrida on Dec 2, 2014 at 6:10 PM
(Still in front lawn) Okay, did Sloppy Joe and his crew get the place decontaminated? I could smell it from out here yesterday, even with the blocked sinuses.
By safrida on Dec 1, 2014 at 5:41 PM
I left the number on the fridge. Oh, whatever. I got them on speed dial. (Brief, mumbled conversation on cell phone.) They'll be here tomorrow. I'm having a shipment of groceries sent over, too. I have a suspicion you're out.
By safrida on Dec 1, 2014 at 3:35 PM
(From the lawn) Hey! Hey? I'm out here. I'm not coming in. I have a cold and I don't want APC to get it and give it to Scott.

Hey, all. Okay, I had to get a router for the new printer I got. All my interwebs is on the router now, and since that happened... I cannot get Cheezburger to behave. If I get more than one tab open, the computer siezes to the point that my only way of fixing it is to restart. So if I vanish suddenly, it's because the computer has seized again. It's just doing this on Cheezburger.. I don't know why. Anyhoo, I'm going down town soon to take care of some stuff. I'll bring back some groceries.

I wouldn't say I'm exausted. I've been getting lots of sleep, in part thanks to the pills the doctor gave me for my neck. It's Z city. How's your kittehs?
By safrida on Sep 29, 2014 at 2:13 PM
I don't know. I've had my suspicions about Dmitri and the dust buster. How you doing? Had a busy weekend. Mom-duty, babysiting a 3 year old and game day yesterday at the farm.

I've survived without a car, which has probably saved me zillions of dollars right there, but it can be a tad inconvenient at times.
By safrida on Sep 26, 2014 at 3:18 PM
Never go drinking with an empty stomach. Here you go. (Sprinkles grated cheez on top.) That is not the cheez from the fridge, by the way. I brought that cheez with me to put on the soup.

TH, my friend was driving her husband's car and didn't realize the tags had been vandalized. Someone had gone through their whole neighbourhood trying to get legal tags off cars and just wrecking them. We were in the middle of nowhere with her then 9 month old and luckily, there was a report on file about tags in their 'hood being destroyed. She did end up with a ticket, which she gave to her husband, but at least they took pity on her with the baby and didn't tow the car.

I'm going nowhere tonight. (Lugs in cauldron of soup.) Just made a fresh pot of broccoli soup. Fresh off the stove. I was going to make a fresh loaf of garlic bread, but I'm right out of flour. I see our fridge is just about empty, too. Box of baking soda... I think that's cheese but I'm not sure... Bottle of ketchup, half a bottle of zesty Italian... Yeah, need to go shopping. Geez, can you guys not take care of yourselves when I'm not here?
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 7:15 PM
I'm gonna log off too. You have fnu as well! Tomorrow, babe.

Or she lives in something like the Tardis. It LOOKS like no rooms until you go in the front door and find out it's a pocket universe with limitless rooms. And a pool. Coming to BBC this fall: Wally Who.
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 6:51 PM
Wally01: a retired chemistry teacher who goes into business to feed her animals. This fall on HBO: Breaking Nip.

Maybe we're not meant to know. (Cue dramatic music.)

They're mostly there as stress relief for the protagonist. Newton, the abused kitten who is just learning to love and trust hoomins, and Brutus, the 20 lb cat who was days away from being sent over the Rainbow Bridge before he was given a new foreber hoem. So, if Wally has no bedrooms, where does she sleep? In the bath tub? Or out with the herd in the straw?
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 6:29 PM
No, but the second book has one of the protagonists and his girlfriend adopting two kittehs from the local animal shelter.
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 6:15 PM
Working on the follow up to the crime novel I've almost finished. Yeah, I'm weird that way. The first book just needs a few tweaks and expansions but I've already got the sequel on the go.
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 6:06 PM
Sweet dreams, Wally!

Does he have a brother in Canada?
By safrida on Sep 25, 2014 at 5:39 PM
I understand about problem carriers. We've got one who brings the mail to the apartment building and doesn't really read the proper apartment numbers before shoving it in a box. Half the time when I get mail, it's not even for me. But that's Canada Post. I'm sure your carriers are not that inept.

Well, gotta check in with Dad, then settle in for a little TV. Agents of Shield is back on tonight, and I have to say, Forever looks like it might be okay. See everyone later!
