That is one epic looking cat in the "Memory" lol you just did!!

Hmmm. And yet, had you shown one in the message, it would have passed.
By safrida on May 20, 2014 at 4:48 PM
And the current irony is that when I scrolled down to see the comments, the three "More from Cheez" pictures were all exploitative smut. I also noticed that the most vocal advocate of the Pro Titteh brigade has only two faved pix (one of which is the accursed "Double Selfie"), no profile and has created nothing himself. You are fighting the good fight. You have the backing of many long-timers, We love you and stand with you in this. BTW, I pointed out that if, all things being equal, it was man bits being featured, the Pro-Titteh brigade would be the first ones screaming for censorship, but that comment got eaten.

They told me it could take up to a year to be fully recovered. I'm hoping it won't take quite that long. It didn't help that I got the flu followed by pneumonia right after surgery. Changing my name to 'Danger Prone Daisy'. LOL
By safrida on Feb 4, 2014 at 2:37 PM
Any surgical procedure takes a while to get over. They say it takes a month for the anesthetic to fully leave your system, but after my breast reduction, I was still nodding off at random two months later. The main thing is, you're back. I know if I have a prolonged absence, I have to resign myself to "live in the now" and not stress about catching up!
By alisaorrdaisy on Feb 4, 2014 at 2:13 PM
It freaked my son Mathew out as well. LOL I am still recovering but am feeling much better. Thank you. :) It feels good to be back on ICHC and see my friends and their LOLs, etc, although I doubt I will ever catch up fully. I have been just focusing on going forward and doing-seeing what I can.
By safrida on Feb 4, 2014 at 2:07 PM
Yes! It freaked the heck out of me when I did, and that was before i scrolled down to see what you had circled! Glad to see you back and improving health-wise?

Thanks, dear lady! Hope your recuperation's going well and that you have a great holiday. And remember: eggnog and pain pills may not be a good idea!

Thank you! My sis and I definitely felt better after the meeting because we at least had a plan in place. I know Dad's heartbroken, but sending Mom home would have utterly destroyed his health, then I'd have BOTH of them in the hospital. Might as well book a ward and move in myself at that point. BTW, I concur with NC on your profile pic. Bery glamerus!!

Thank you for the update about your mom, my friend. I just saw it. I know that had to be a very difficult decision for all and I'm sorry it had to come down to that for you and your family. I am sending all my hopes and wishes with love that your mom will now be receiving the best care possible for her medical situation and that your dad, yourself and the rest of your family will feel more at ease in knowing that she is well taken care of.

Thank you! My sis was up today actually. We also have my uncle's ex-wife who is happy to take care of Mom when we can't get to the hospital. In the summer Mom spent nearly a month in the hospital's rehab ward and was able to get back some of her mobility. We're not sure about this time. It's a lot of wait-and-see because we have to wait for her to medically stabilize. But it's been a week since the last seizure, so there's that. Thanks again!

I'm so sorry. I know this is a very trying time for you and your family. I hope that your Mom is stable soon and off to rehab to regain her strength as quickly as possible. I don't know if you are aware but my father just went to rehab after extended stay in the hospital and two surgeries. He has shown marked improvement in Rehab and hopefully will continue to do so. I wish the same for your Mom. Is there anyone else, friends or family to help out? Sending out hugs for you and your family and the most comforting and healing energies and hopes and thoughts possible{{{{{

Yeah, Mom's been in the hospital since the 19th of Sept. with what was initially believed to be another stroke, but the neurologist has diagnosed it as localized seizures. She's on the medical floor to get stabilized, then goes for rehab to build her strength back up. But she's also starting to show signs of dementia. Her long term memory is fine, but she won't remember what she had for lunch, or something you told her five minutes ago. I had to write a note last night that I was taking her watch, or she would have had the nurses looking for it all night. I'm hanging tough, but it is wearing Dad down. My sister and I are doing our best to help him out, but there's only so much Vicki can do as she lives 90 min away and has a near-full time job.

Thanks so much. i just read that your Mom is having a hard time. Is she still in the hospital? How are you holding up? Hugs back to you~

My condolences on the loss of your uncle. He sounds like the kind of man I would have been honoured to know. Long-distance hugs.
