Hey, gurl. Been awol because of RL busy-ness over the last three days. All good, just busy. Well, there was the headache the kids caused on Thursday, but other than that, all good. Just popping in now to run off a Mother's Day Lol and then gotta make some cookies for her. So I should be back..... Soonish? Maybe? I hope?

I was finishing a row of knitting before packing it in for the night and caught the "happy" news. There's video from SATURDAY for pete's sake of him smoking crack in his sister's basement! I normally avoid the news in general, though. The doctor would have to up my meds!! Have a good evening.

LOL Think I'd make it a $10. Gift Card. But then I can be mean sometimes. Just got off the phone with my Mom. She's mad with her computer. LOL She can't send photos like she used to. She does exactly what she used to, but it won't work. I think there was an upgrade or something and it's screwed things up. I told her to e-mail them by clicking and dragging the pic into the email. When I get up there I'll see what happened.

See, I can understand when people have busy lives with work, kids of their own, etc. and distance sometimes isn't in their favour, but when you're retired... come on! It's like Mom's previous room mate whose daughter basically went to Florida and said "she won't even realize I'm not there." B.S. lady. I just hope that when the lid goes on the coffin that the ones who couldn't be bothered to visit or help out are appropriately rewarded in teh will. "To my daughter Obnoxia, who never came to visit me in my waning years, I bequeath this Petrocan Gift Card of $25."

I feel bad when I see these people all by themselves. Seems like such a lonely life. The one daughter made a comment once that "she can't live forever" she hasn't seen her mom for months and she's retired. She could go up once or twice a month, but can't be bothered. Makes me mad. I want as much time with my parents as possible. I'm going up by bus to spend time with them in Apr.

I see that a lot in Mom's ward. There are a lot of people who just don't get visitors. There was one old fellow who didn't have kids and was an only child, so he got the occasional friend stop by on a very seldom basis. But it's like a friend of mine was saying on the weekend. If you don't live close, it's very difficult to get the time to make the trip to see people in homes. It's why my other friend moved her father to Peterborough, so she could be right there when he needs her.

I knew it was Fair something. LOL Been up there a few times with them. Usually I end up around the zoo and would take pictures around the river. Hubby tried to take his Mum up every other weekend. He works one weekend 'n has the next off. Hubby & his Mum are usually the only ones that visit her. Her two daughters don't bother....id's sad. She would rather be in Lakefield. That's where they were raised - on Stoney Lake. I think Molly likes getting all of mommy's attention now. LOL I felt sorry for m_m because she cares so much for all kittehs and wants to do what's best.

She's at Fairhaven, which is in the north-ish end of town. It's one of the places we're hoping to put Mom. I'm glad that Hurricane was snapped up so quickly! Sounds like Molly's not going to cotton to any interloper cats. Unfortunate, because I understand what M_M was hoping with adopting a kitten and all, but cats be cats and have their own plan for the universe. Cats: An enigma wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in floof.

I think that's the only way I'm going to win. Told hubby we have to arrange something so he can drop me off and the two of us can yap and get some timmies while he takes his mom to visit her sister. She's at that Fairwell or sumthing like that, nursing home. Molly_mommy sent me an e-mail and she was happy. She had some paperwork on hurricane's microchip and took it back to the HS. And they told him he was adopted! She was so happy to hear that. The new owners didn't have any other cat so m_m figures he'll be great.
