I'm glad your birthday was great! I'm taking a "ME" day at the farm tomorrow. Oh, meant to ask, where's Wilson's GF? Was there a break-up and nobody told me?!?
By safrida on Jun 14, 2014 at 10:51 AM
Darling Wally, I'm sorry I missed your birthday yesterday. I've been ca-ray-zee busy with the 'rents. Dad went in for tests on Friday and he's getting his surgery on Wednesday so that's meant (for me) getting things packed to move home for a month, cancelling things, sorting things out, lining up appointments... But regardless, I hope your birthday was awesome!! You deserve the best.

Thank you for the ecard! It now explains the mess around my friend's cats' litter boxes. And I'm VERY impressed with how you managed to get the Herd dressed up. There was no dressing our Lhasa Apso, except when it was very cold and we were putting his sweater on for a trip outside. Hope your St. Patrick's day is grand!

Thank you! That is such a gorgeous photo. Sure not what I've got out my window, but maybe someday. Skritch the herd for me!

Thanks! I had no idea that being semi-reclined all the time, then sitting upright would do that. I'll make sure that they make note of it in her chart, and if they DO put her upright, that she has something right handy for vomit. Several times she has not and it's gone on the floor or on her. I'm definitely keeping my head up. It's hard not to with such great friends! I'm hoping that no news is good news as far as CB's concerned. I know the last report you had from the vet was that he was stable. Here's hoping!

safrida, my Grandmother had Parkinson's and was bedfast for several years. When we sat her upright in a chair or wheelchair, she would throw up, too. We came to expect it and tried to be prepared-waste can with liner, cool washcloth, and paper towels. She couldn't help it and apologized all the time for doing it. . Her doctor said that it wasn't uncommon and had something to do with being upright after semi-reclining. Just hang in there. You're doing the best you can. Hugs, Linda

Hugs for you and ear scritches for CB. We're all thinking about him.

My pleasure dearest! Seeing as it's not actually me laid up, I can't neglect such an important day from such a wonderful person! Mom had a pretty good day so with any luck, she'll be down in the rehab ward in a few days. When she's there, I think our visiting schedule will be changing, which will make life easier for Dad and I. Hugs, and enjoy your cake!

Ohai. Thanks for taking time to make me a BD LOL. (That kitty looks like one I had named Baby. She was a sweetheart.) I know your Mom is not well and that you're spending time at the hospital. I've been there more times than I can count, and it is never good or comfortable. I appreciate your thinking of me. You've made me feel special. We old cat ladies aren't always so well understood. Hugs and love always, Linda (wally01)

Wow. With family like that, who needs total strangers? She is so very lucky to have you and her lawyer then!! I don't even know this lady, but please give her a hug for me. I know that the parkinsons is an issue. My Grandmother had it, in a mild form, but one of our neighbours had it bad enough that feeding himself and drinking was a bit of an ordeal. Depending on how bad her tremours are, that may be why she's nervous about "sticking" herself. Regardless, I hope things work out for her. She sounds like she's in need of a break.

This is what I put on the Sofa after you left: safrida, I know that she has two cousins that live in the adjoining county. Before she came here to the nursing home, she had been in the hospital where her Parkinson's was diagnosed. (Her diabetes developed later) The hospital contacted both of them when she was ready to be released. They each, in turn, told the hospital they didn't know her and not to contact them again. How low is that? The hospital didn't want payment. They just wanted to know where she could go to live. That's when the hospital social worker got in touch with a lawyer there. The lawyer is a very nice lady and very tough to fool. She got myroom on disability and found the nursing home here who would take her. I met her through ICHC when I saw her profile one day while noodling around. When I saw she was in West Tennessee, I sent her a friend request, she accepted, and I found her in town not five miles from my house!

Fanks for very appropriate e-card! I'm gonna agree with that assessment. But does the chocolate have to go on the outside or does it work on the inside? Off for the farm in a few minutes and won't have much Cheeztime until Tuesday night, so have a great weekend and take care!! Hugs!
By safrida on Mar 12, 2013 at 6:52 PM
I'm pretty sure that if she has a proper chaperon she'll be allowed to go!
By safrida on Mar 6, 2013 at 8:44 AM
Thanks for the birthday lol with all those candles! Fire crews are standing by. And thanks for the e-card! That was adorable! If I had cats, they'd be freaking out. Have a great day and give all the critters a head scritch for me!

OOOH! I just got called to the lobby to take delivery of a box! Full of wonderful things!!! Thank you SO very much! I'm going to take one bag of the pecans with me to Mom and Dad's for lunch. See you later on the sofa!

I never give small things a hassle over their size, being commonly mistaken for a hobbit myself.
By wally01 on Feb 1, 2013 at 3:06 PM
Yes, it is a box, a small box, but a box none the less. It has issues over it's size so be gentle when it comes. Linda (wally01)
By safrida on Feb 1, 2013 at 2:32 PM
You mailed me a box?! You didn't have to do that! But thank you anyway! How's all of yours today? Mom was watching the weather channel and said basically everything south of the Great Lakes and West of the Mississippi is getting hammered with horrible weather over the last 24.
By wally01 on Feb 1, 2013 at 2:17 PM
Hey, girl. I mailed you a box today. Don't know when it'll get to you though. APC says that the dog sleds are very slow and have erratic schedules (they must take frequest pit stops). Hugs, wally01 (Linda)

How is your ear this morning? I hope it's tolerable.

Just a quick note to let you know I'll be sending warm thoughts your way tomorrow to help you through the funeral. Big hug!

Sorry to "eavesdrop" but I see you've had an unexpected loss. I'm sorry that you've lost your cousin. I'm here if you need me, and I'll be on the Sofa, too. Hug!

I've been on here for a while, and I don't make many LOLs except for birthdays and such. I just don't have the "spark". Maybe it's age getting the best of what "wit" I have. However the case, I do know what I think is funny and even down right hilarious. There are creators and appreciators. I am an appreciator. It means more to me to see my friends happy and appreciated that to have a LOL on HP. Keep up the good work. We need all the happy we can get. Lubs, wally01 (Linda)

It still means a lot for a person who is relatively "new" to get that kind of support! Enjoy your Bucky!
By wally01 on Jan 12, 2013 at 5:47 PM
Thanks for my Bucky award. However, it's easy to fave the things that are good. Yours are.
