Thanx for that :) Hope you have a great time in Vegas and an even better time with all those books, lol :D

sounds good, i'm going to vegas next week and then plan to settle into a long summer of being at home (and reading), and will let you know how it goes! For terry brooks, he's most famous for shannara but that's a commitment. maybe running with the demons, that's only in a 3 book series -or armegeddon's children is the most recent.

Ohai, thanks for the return recommendation :) I don't know why I've never read Terry Brooks, but I'll add him to my to read list, which grows longer by the day, lol. If you wanted to try a Terry Pratchett that wasn't a Disworld novel then I've just read Nation and really enjoyed it, competely different to his other work and it makes you think too. :D

hai lk, thanks! actually i've read ender's game and it is really good -in that classic writing sort of way. I'll check out those two authors and since you like fantasy you might want to try terry brooks, he's my personal fav.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, you really really need to read the Jasper Fforde Thursday Next books in the right order (if they appeal to you) or you are going to get very confused, lol. Hope that answer isn't too much of a cop out cos I haven't actually recommended one book. Although my cousin recently told me I really needed to read Enders Game by Orson Scott Card, so you might want to take a look at that :D

LOL! nope it's not too much of a cliche, after all I am a librarian :D Well, I love both Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde, I have links to their sites on my profile. They are both fantasy writers and they inject their books with humour too, so they are not heavy going. There's also a link to my visual bookshelf on my profile so you can see what I've been reading and reviews I've written :D

yeah, and u wouldn't believe how often they tried to steal stuff! There was a section they couldn't check out and literally some would rip out pages to take with them. sigh.

Ohai new cheezfrend. Thanks for extending the paw of friendship all the way from Arizona. It's very nice to meet you. There seem to be a lot of us librarian types here in cheezland...I'm sure there's a stereotype in there somewhere, lol :) Where in England were you a librarian? Not that I'm being nosy at all ;)
