For the record, I'm generally a bad cheezfriend in the correspondence department, even when not testing my remaining sanity in our university system. But you sound like such a fun person! Just wanted to say so... :)

Witches Abroad is my fave, too! I bet I've been thru about 9 copies over the years & giggle like an idiot no matter HOW many times I read it!! I love the one where Nanny & the neighbors are preparing for her to have a bath. I nearly wet myself laughing everytime I read that scene!!

*crawls out from under rock* Sir Pratchett? I did not know that. Not really surprised, though... his satires are on a par with Mark Twain. I get something different every time I re-read one of his books... Favorite one is "Witches Abroad". Nanny always shines in whichever story she's in, but she positively glowed in that one! Another bananananana dakry, please...
