Are you thinking in Portuguese yet? Then you get here and have to SPELL as well as think in English.. It's good for your brains though. Was just notified that my new easle is 'ON IT"S WAY"!!! yay!!! I will be moving furniture to make room in just the right light for it... ohboyohboyohboyohboy. I'm pleased with several of my porcelain pieces.. I will put pictures up in my section here to SHOW OFF! because there is no caption for pieces of pottery, unless it makes a face. I'm glad you thought of that.. we'll see...
By Tempie on Aug 10, 2010 at 7:51 PM
Nuthin' much going on here. I'm making pieces out of porcelain clay and so far so interesting. I bought a new easle on sale that's out of stock until September.. I'm planning out paintings. I've been struggling with a cheap-o three legged job that's 40 years old and finally I'm investing in a solid 'H' frame number. yay! I've been reading 'Aspen Cat' to grandson Ian and he's stunned and amazed.. "I didn't know cats could write" I wanted to lol so much but all I said was "That cat can" Mary is sending me the first three chapters to the next book and I will do some more illustrations to fit the new story. wheee! Wear layers to protect against the cold. Several thin layers. Helped me in Minnesota.

Hey girlfriend.. It's been awhile.. How ARE you and WHERE are you and what's the latest good news? I am in the middle of starting to compile little ditty poems to illustrate around and look into being published. My good friend from High School gave me the name of a book to look thru for info into being published. yay! In my pics I've put up shots of what I just did for my only grand daughter.. she's two and a 1/2.. I got her a TuTu!! first ever!! fun! I painted roses on little tank tee's to wear with the TuTu and it really helps that her middle name is Rose.. that's the only flower I paint, mostly paint.

By Tempie on Jul 29, 2009 at 8:39 AM
Kidd-o, you need to go back and re-read my messages. Orange County is near Anaheim County where Disneyland is. I used to drive down there from Bakersfield pretty regular until I outgrew it and Magic Mountain was closer. Magic Mountain is gone now but Disneyland still reigns. I took mah dottir when she was four and never again. She went to Disney World in Florida when she was older.. No comparison, they are each their own entity
By tvery on Jul 28, 2009 at 1:55 PM
Yeah Puerto Rico isnt really a state. My dad also moves alot with his work thats why i move alot. Where is Bakersfield? Did u like Oklahoma? Well you should follow them if you really want to move from Oregon. I will be living in Orange County one hour south from Los ]Angeles. Have you ever been to CAlifornia? i always wanted to live there and i am really excited because lots of my family lives there well i hope you have a nice day cya
By Tempie on Jul 27, 2009 at 7:34 AM
I'm doing quite well. Puerto Rico isn't a state of the U.S.A... I think that's what you were saying... anyway, I moved at first because my Dad travelled to jobs. When I was third grade we settled in Bakersfield and when my dottir was @ 5 I married a man that also travelled a lot until we settled in Oklahoma. My children were born in Bksfld, my son is still there and my dottir has moved some in her adult life too. If her husband gets into the military I expect they'll be moving sommore. I'm debating if I want to follow them or not... I'll be praying about it. You seem to be on the move as well. Where in Calif. will you B moving to?
By tvery on Jul 26, 2009 at 11:38 AM
Sorry i forgot some stuff. So what are you doing today?
By Tempie on Jul 23, 2009 at 1:43 PM
All the questions U asked are in previous messages.. Do you delete them right away?
By tvery on Jul 23, 2009 at 10:39 AM
You never told me your mom was from texas. Where is your dad from? PR stands for Puerto Rico yeah ive lived there for 2 years now im moving from there where did u think it was from? I never knew you were born in CA. You have lived in ltos of states why do you move so much? Why did you choose to live in Oregon? Do you still have relatives in TExas? you could go visit there soon since you like it so much. You have a grave? why do you have one? you didnt die. Hehehe you glued a air refreshner to you headstone :D When did u get a headstone why do you have one? When did you start the Aspen cat book? Why did you move to Oregon why didnt you go to Texas? Well um.. what do you want to talk about? Well ould you rather live in a apartment in a city or a big house in the country?
By Tempie on Jul 22, 2009 at 12:24 PM
oh yeah, the book has 37 pages and one page is just of my paintings of the cat. The story is written from Aspen Cats perspective of the move her Mary Girl made from Bakersfield, Ca. to San Marcos Texas. That's where Mary and I met. She is a translator for the deaf and one of her people was taking pottery the same time I was and Mary and I hit it off. In Bakersfield. I told her I thought to move to San Marcos because of the University there and it would be close to Cornerstone Church w/ Pastor John Hagee and low and behold Mary went to Texas and I went to Oregon.. odds bodkins.
By Tempie on Jul 22, 2009 at 12:18 PM
I glued a Glade air freshner to it and we keep planning tacky yard ornaments for it. I wrote 2035 on my expiration date...Born~1951~Died and marker penned 2035 and the photo I had stuck on forever is one my dottir took when I was 36 or so. GOOD lookin for 84 years old. I want to put a phone on it with the cord running into the ground and have a sensor attached that will make it ring when someone walks by. Like I said, I have fun with it.
By Tempie on Jul 22, 2009 at 12:12 PM
My Mother was a Texan, didn't I already tell you this? and we'd go there a lot of my childhood summers. I went to the second half of 2nd grade in Austin, while my Dad was working in So. America.. or was it Lybia... oh well. When ever we were going to Texas, we were going HOME. Yeah it was my Mother's home but that's what it felt like to me. My Grandma Tempie lived there and all my neat-o nifty cousins and all my aunts and uncles and all my good childhood memories are in Texas. I don't know why I haven't ever moved there as an adult. I want to. My grave site with the headstone is already there. i'm old so I should get closer to it... That's supposed to be funny. I have had fun with that headstone.

I cannot believe how dense I am at this moment... What state is PR. ? let's see.. Born in Ca. lived there repeatedly.NJ.NY. Minnesota,Ohio,Texas,Oklahoma the most, Missouri twice and now Oregon. I don't remember NY or NJ 'cause I was a baby but my Mother spoke of it in disparaging tones so I've been raised prejudiced and I met two nasty people from NY that just confirmed that bad opinion. So, poor NY doesn't stand a chance. I spent the night once in the Kennedy international airport and everyone was as nice as they could be so they must have been from somewhere else.

Thanx for the congrats on the book. My friend Mary did ALLLLL the work, I got to draw and color, thats all I did. My favorite pottery is the pieces that turn out nicely. Centering has always been thee hardest and almost never conqured aspect of pottery for me. There is a kink in my brain that won't let that piece of knowledge by. It's frustrating really. Every now and again I'll have a day where everything gets centered but it's a happy accident. drat and darn. I will always try but handbuilding is my forte. I make thee BEST roses out of porcelain clay. I took cake decorating to learn how to use the tools thinking I'd be able to use it with clay. nope. But I did discover that fondant and porcelain work the same.

Oregon is the ninth state in America that I've lived in. hmmm I reeely like it here except for the heat that's coming up. Minnesota was BEAUTIFUL and only one day in August did it get all the way up to 85*. I'm just getting over heat exhaustion so I'm still cranky about that. I'm going to have to say Texas. I'd move to Israel in a heartbeat... my final stop will be Texas. I've always wanted to live in Texas. I wanted to be BORN in Texas. My brother was, darnit, and I've never quite forgiven him of that, especially now that he lives in Missouri.. waay eastern Mo. I've never seen Wyoming or Montana... I'd like to drive through and see. How about U? would you like to live in Brazil forevermore?
By Tempie on Jul 20, 2009 at 12:31 PM
How about you kidd-o? Is everything goin' your way?
By Tempie on Jul 20, 2009 at 12:30 PM
All is well. EXCEPT!! drat and darnit, our book isn't in the store here in Salem. My poor ego reeeely wanted to see it on the shelves in the Borders here. I'm so disappointed BUT!! it is in other stores and one day I'll go up to Portland to that giant bookstore my dottir told me about to see it there. It's all ego. AND I found that there is a pottery studio just down the street from me that has the option of 'open studio' so I can go whenever I can. Yay!! And, I just made a pan of bread that I am pleased with. More Yay! Today is a good day.

You're IN brazil? I thought you were going to... oh well. YOU know where you are. I make up songs for Ian all the time. Every time I want to get my lesson across... like using a tissue rather than his sleeve, I make a jingle up to repeat the lesson. He already sings his ABC's and I fingerspell them while he sings them. I took American Sign Language and use some of the signs at him.. he tends to turn his head so I will insist he watch me fingerspell the ABC's. I give him lessons in watercolors brush care.. His Dad laughs that Ian will sing to them as much as ask for a thing. I keep re-reading your last message and there is no short answer for me. blah blah blah.

Like it says on my profile I came to ICHC to be able to see free photos of cats in various poses. O MY GOODNESS!! I was hooked in probably 15 minutes!! One thing I learned while at RHEMA was the scripture to pray continually. One teacher told of the woman who bragged "I pray for an hour every day".. like it was a big deal. The pastor she was speaking to said " I don't let an hour go by without praying". I strive to follow that example. I will Thank God some times for that deep breath I just took. It's a gift. (every breath is) Rhema is a Bible training college in Oklahoma that I'm delighted to say I graduated from in 92. I didn't graduate as a Pastor I had just lost my husband and I needed to play so God led me into the Children's ministry. That's probably why I enjoy this site so much.. Big kids playing here.

loganoneil hasn't messaged me much except for a brief reply about beauty make-up. He CAN do it he just doesn't and to think of the movie F/X to know what he does. I have to go see it now. I did ask him to read our messages to correct or confirm what I told U. That's what I know, that's what I shared. hey! that sounds like the end of a song
By Tempie on Jul 4, 2009 at 11:47 PM
I don't have one song that is a fave. I make up little songs for my grandson to strengthen what I just told him. I have a lol with a kitteh singing one.. If your nose is feeling icky~ kinda snotty~kinda sticky~ and Ur feelin the neeed to use Ur sleeeve... He even has asked me to sing him the "tissue" song. cute. I failed to add thee most importsnt part of all that info I gave U. Pray through every decision, pray for protection/provision/and favor and never do anything that you can't tell Ur parents or do anything that the Lord won't be able to say "well done thou good and faithful servant" Then U'll do quite alright in the field of Ur choice. I have to go back and re- read the message U left.
By Tempie on Jul 3, 2009 at 7:58 AM
Nope, none of my lolz ever made it to fp. Ian is thee smartest, cutest and sweetest grandchild. This is why grandmas shouldn't raise their grandchildren. They are thee most perfect of children and can do no wrong... RIGHT THERE.. is why. I just made a lol earlier this a.m. I decided to go ahead and watch "the Matrix" after all these years of avoiding it. yikes. It's kind of depressing and I avoid depressing movies. I want the good guys to win over evil and for everyone to live happily ever after. Movies are my escape from reality. The Matrix is three movies long and I saw the ending of the third one and that is NOT happily ever after. THAT"S why I read Christian Romances. Everybody lives happily ever after and God gets the Glory. Amen.

I haven't found a church here yet and my looking for one has been feeble. I drive by and notice .. "OH there's one" and don't go to it on Sunday. There is another one here that has a service on Sat. Nights. That's where I'll go first. I'm not a very sociable person... oh dear, that sounds creepy. I'm in a rut and not anxious to climb out of it.. If I get involved in church or some positive adventure I'll be sociable. Step out of my comfort zone. As an actress U'll be stepping out of Ur comfort zone a lot.
By Tempie on Jul 3, 2009 at 7:45 AM
I sold some of my works a long time ago never in Portland, just went to that Sat. Market once to shop. I have submitted photos of my works to a couple of galleries here in Salem.. no response as of yet. I read Christian Romance novels by the box load, never throw them away, have every single one I ever bought and re-read them. I like Louis L'Amour, Marion Chesney and Cathy Marie Hake some others.. Deann Geist, Lori Copeland.. um..Ilene Ford there's several.. No one song how about U? whatsur fave music? I think U already told me so I'll go back and re-read.. Classical guitar. Have a small box load of cd's in that style. This cable has music too and I listen to the light classicals when I'm not listening to the Christian station's preachers. John Hagee is my fave. Grant Jeffrey, Hal Lindsey,Jack VanImpe Creflo Dollar, the Copelands,Billye Brimm, Perry Stone, um..
By Tempie on Jul 3, 2009 at 7:25 AM
Nope, I'm in Salem and went to Portland to go to the Saturday Market which is a collection of booths that people sell their art works and soaps and spices and foods from 'round the world and it was wonderful. Every Saturday and I hear there is another like it in Eugene that we'll go to eventually. No, You didn't say you liked yellow, I was using yellow as an example of what to look for while U are doing Ur colors because of the disasterous effect yellow has on me. Compare pinks. Salmon pink might suit U better than a pink with blue in it. Salmon is a light red with a hint of yellow. It's fun to study it. Who ever Ur fave girlfriend is do this together. Someone whoes opinion that will be honest and non-critical. Ur Mom might be Ur best choice to help U with this. She might get a kick out of comparing colors with U and U with her.
By Tempie on Jul 3, 2009 at 7:04 AM
of replacing the windows. That's not a happi. I also think that if you are a minor, you need to talk to Ur parents about this passion U have to act and they can support U in your decisions. My Mom was all for me being an actress.. I THINK it was her idea and planted the seeds for it when I was very little. She saw to it I took dance, modelling, voice and make-up lessons. Yeah it was fun and I'm such a klutz, I NEEDED the dance and modelling lessons to help me walk without falling over.. Damaged eardrums affects my balance, so, no spinning for me.
By Tempie on Jul 3, 2009 at 6:53 AM
Keep away from yellow, I think. If yellow is Ur favorite just keep it away from Ur face. Keep it in Ur skirt so U'll get to look at it and it won't affect Ur complexion. Right now in this part of my life I have internal combustion that springs up and I need to fan myself. I don't suffer like some women I've heard so for that I'm grateful. This part of Oregon is beautiful. I've been up to Portland and to the coast. Orange County is plenty close enuf to L.A. for you to persue acting. Disneyland is in Aneheim.. and to get a job there you could be Jasmine or Snowwhite, THAT'd be fun. Doing the voice for animated features.. I'd like to do that. I do a great evil laugh muahahaha that I do for my grandson Ian and he thinks it's funny when I will do it after complaining that the "Bad Guy" didn't do HIS evil laugh right. He'll be all scared for the movie and I'll critisize the evil laugh... takes the scary away. I'm glad to hear that noone was hurt from the rock throwing incident. Just the cost
