The entire country of North Korea is one big Orwellian nightmare. No one is allowed to own a cell phone, hotel rooms are bugged with audio surveillance equipment, and loudspeakers blast government propaganda on city streets. Due to this array of little perks that the citizens of North Korea have to admire, forgive us if we're a tad bit suspicious of their "Pyongyang Friendship Fair" which took place last month. All in all, it doesn't seem like too much of an olive branch to the cultures of other countries. More like an olive twig. But hey, they even threw in a few European guys to look diplomatic! Right.
