London Mayor Boris Johnson took a break from watching Olympic competition today to ride a zip line, but when it ground to a halt midway, Johnson was left dangling above passersby for more than five minutes.
Ever the good sport, he waved his Union Jacks and led the audience in cheering on his country's gold medal-winning rowers.
He promised spectators he was feeling "very, very well thank you," before shouting: "Get me a rope, get me a ladder."
"It's very, very well organized," he said. "It's going well so far. Right."
