Egypt has joined a string of other Muslim countries in blocking public access to YouTube for its unwillingness to remove the controversial film "The Innocence of Muslims" from the site. Brought before an administrative court as a matter of "national security," Judge Hassouna Tawfiq ruled YouTube to be banned for a period of one month, as well as any other online property that hosted or featured the film. Back in November 2012, Egyptian court sentenced the filmmaker and six others involved in the production to death in absentia. Hat tip goes to The Daily Dot.
