The Internet's Nineteen Degrees of Separation?

A study published Monday by the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society argues that most web sites can be connected in 19 clicks or less, thanks to search engines, aggregators and social networking sites. Though the news may seem new, a blogger named Samantha Orme registered the domain 19clicks.com in 2005, comparing it to the six degrees of separation theory. One can only wonder how many clicks it takes to get to Kevin Bacon?
