A firefighter in Mississippi is being called a hero after using his cell phone to show animated film Happy Feet on the side of the road to a young crash victim.
The crash happened on Saturday in the town of D'lberville when an SUV carrying one adult driver and five children flipped several times. All of them were taken to the hospital with injuries, one child transported while still trapped in a child-restraint seat, the Sun Herald reported.
A photo taken from the crash showed D'Iberville firefighter Casey Lessard playing Happy Feet for one of the children as they lay next to the wreckage.
"The kids … we do whatever we can to calm them down," D'Ibervile Fire Capt. Darren Peterson said. "The video calmed him down instantly."
Journalist John Thomas posted an update to Facebook Tuesday morning saying that the young boy was out of the hospital, but two of the other children were still in critical condition. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.
