*Ok, ok, I didn't read it over before I sent it. The phone is on and Monk squints at it in the sun. (Monk) Kathy Richards, right? (Randy) Yeah, 30, lived with a boyfriend in 24th street. Uh, *flipping pages* ..had a....cat... (Monk) Ok! *still inspects it* well the killer, the killer, had to have done this for a reason, so there has to be some connection... Randy show me the two other reporters phones. *Randy hands them to him* *Monk pushes random buttons, alternating between phones and then stops and slowly smiles* (Monk) All these reporters, the ones who were killed, all talked in Mr. Bark a week ago. Randy, you said you checked their phone records, but you didn't check their cellular telephone records. *Nat. giggles* (Nat.) At least we know what they have in common.

I've been good. I went camping with my college and we had no doonas or pillows..... Ah well, next year I will pack them.... I have 1 more exam on Wednesday and then on Thursday I will be going to Bali. How about you?

(Nat) So then, why was she killed if all the photos were of the Captain? (Monk) I don't know. (Nat *sigh*) What about the other victims, the reporters? (Monk) Captain, can I see the others' camera's and notebook's? (Captain hands him the a bag. Monk takes them out and flips through the pads.) (Monk) Nothing important. Their camera's? (Nat skims them while Monk looks.) (Nat) They're all of the Captain....and some of..blurs- mess-up photos. (she checks the other camera) (Nat) *cough* same. (Monk looks up.) (Nat) What? (Monk) well we know that they all have one thing in common- they're all pictures of you. (They all look at the Captain.) (Randy) What about the notebooks? (Captain) Randy, you just ruined the moment!

(Black-out and lights come up. Outside Monk is doing his summation thing around caution tape and on-lookers and cops standing behind it. The steps and entrance to the building is behind them and in front of Monk there are paper numbers all over the sidewalk, some blood and chalk out-lines of the four victims. Monk tilts head and puts up his hands at different angles, inspecting the crime scene. There is silence except for the clarinet and piano in the background. Monk stops pacing and glances over at a silver SUV parked near by. Monk stands up straight and stares at the driver, then waves. Finally the Captain comes up from behind him and puts his hand on his shoulder.) (Captain, pointing) What's she doing here? (Monk) Oh that's Natalie, I got her to come along. (Captain) Yes, Monk, I KNOW that is Natalie, but HOW did you get here to come? I thought she had swine flu. (Monk, coolly, not getting it) I told her that I would pay her extra. (Captain) How MUCH extra? (Monk) oh....*shrugs*....$900... (Captain) You're not going to pay her, are you- (Monk) No, of course not. (Captain, patting shoulder, walks away and Monk turns back to the scene.)
