I'll give that a maybe, but I'm not certain that newer folk really like it - after all, nobody posted during LOLAid that they did and you're the only one I've heard suggest that as a possibility. You may be right. If so, though, I'm not sure if I'd want to continue here. I guess the main reason I keep hoping and coming back is that I've lost so many friends and left so many communities that I worry I'll have nothing left.

Thank you Annipuss! I have been lurking for years but decided I needed to be a more active part of something I love so much on a daily basis. I just could never figure out when the posts came out so I could reply in a timely manner. You regular posters have felt like friends for a long time, I have enjoyed all the wit and humor and bon homme between allllll participants! That is a huge blessing in this world at this time. And dear Annipiss, may you survive the Lolmpics well! I don't know if I could with good humor!

Ohai anni! I tried to add another comment after you told me about your bus-restoring adventure, but it got moderated, and I still can't figure out why! Anyway, it was just to say that I was surprised at your hidden talents. Restoring a bus is one of those tasks which, if I were told to do it, I would be nonplussed! (One of several tasks which would similarly be beyond my skills, Ai might add.) I need to keep a list of people I know who have special smarts. That's how the world makes progress, you know... an astronomer and a bus-restorer and a microwave-oven programmer all meet accidentally, and next thing you know, we finally have the flying cars we were supposed to have a decade ago!! Or something. Have a happy day!

It appears that, if the box was ever checked when you commented on a given LOL, you'll get an email for any comment on that LOL. So we'll be getting the 'encore performance' comment notifications forever! Butt(!) you shouldn't get any from any other LOL's comments. ~catena

Annipuss - I had the same problem. I noticed when I went to enter a comment on a lolcat, the "Notify me of follow-up comments via email" was checked as a default. So it's on the lolcats page, not in wordpress. Make sure the box is not checked. ~catena

Dear Annipuss, I've done sumfink wif mai Internet Exploder at wurk - even after upgrading it won't show ICHC comments, only the main LOL page, so ai can't join in. When ai get very brave, ai'Ll ask sumwun from teh IT department for halp (tricky as ai shouldn't be accessing ICHC to begin wif). I can still post/comment in the Tea Room and ai have a warped version of the profile open right nao. *sigh* If it's not wun thing, it's another. - We have really warm weather now, byootimus sunshine. I'm stuck in teh office until 6:15pm, though. Ah well, mustn't grumble.

Ohai! Ai am back, but have not switched on the home pyooter yet. Am thinking of taking a computer sabbatical for a while - I spend too much time in front of it, and it's not doing my health any good. Not only 8+ hours at work, usually 3+ hours when I get home. I hope the Lincoln Open Day went well - the weather wasn't that brilliant, but at least it wasn't raining in Bridlington. Lubs + hugs!
