"It's mom vs. squirrel in one North Carolina household. The Stading family found a squirrel hiding in their Christmas tree. The squirrel entered through a loose roofing tile and it didn't seem too anxious to leave the home. Using a broom, Taylor Stading poked the tree as the critter wreaked havoc around the house. After an epic 11-minute battle, she opened the window and the wild animal high-tailed it out." (Via Inside Edition).
Poor squirrel just wanted a family and warm home for Christmas! Santa really needs to stop letting his pets go down the chimney. We think that mom's reaction was just a little bit dramatic, and we would have enjoyed seeing the squirrel jump onto her head and sit down for awhile. But hey! That's just us. We are thrilled that the squirrel managed to break free from this woman's loud screams, we just wish he had managed to hide himself a little bit better in the Christmas tree so that he could have had a warm home and family to spend the holiday with!
