Breaking up is hard enough, but breaking up when you live together is a whole different level of nightmare. Most of us can't just pack a bag and walk out the door. There are leases, shared bills, and financial commitments that usually keep you stuck. Your options are usually to crash with family, take on a second rent you can't really afford, or grit your teeth and keep living with your ex until something gives. None of those sounds great, but living with the person who just broke your heart is arguably the worst of all.

For one woman, though, her situation managed to go from bad to truly absurd. She and her boyfriend of eight years had sold her condo, moved into a new apartment, and had even been trying for a baby. Then she left to study abroad for five months and came back to find out he had not only been cheating with one of his tenants the entire time, but had also decided she'd be moving into their apartment once his girlfriend moved out.
