A child's job is basically to just make a mistake, then learn a lesson, then make a different mistake, and learn a different lesson. They are adorable little sponges that absorb everything around them and eventually gain enough confidence to make their own decisions. So sweet isn't it? Well, spoiler alert, the mistakes never really stop, it's kind of a central part of being a human. But if we're lucky they might be a little less silly than the ones we made we were itty bitty.
Being naive definitely has its benefits, especially as a woman. There is no shame in asking questions, people love to explain stuff to us, honestly, regardless of our age. See! There is total logic in this silly mistake. This is what I'm talking about. How in the world are children supposed to learn things if they don't make such hilarious mistakes. Full disclosure, I called the cops too when I was young, just to see what all of the hype was about. It didn't end so well, even though I hung up straight away, they showed at my house anyway... Well, I lived and I learned!
