Isn't it gorgeous?
Yeah, Mario Kart 8 'Deluxe' is coming, but we'll get to that later.
Release Date and Price Point
The Switch will launch on March 3, 2017 and will retail for $299.99 here in the US.
Additional Joy-Cons will sell for $79.99 for both R and L and $49.99 for individual Joy-Con.
This is everything you will receive in the box when you purchase a Nintendo Switch.
The control of the console will rely on these Joy-Cons, which serve a variety of purposes including being used as wiimotes, NES style controllers, combining into one controller, and snapping on the sides of the tablet-style console for portable play.
We're not even totally sure that's all of the uses either.
Basically Joy-Cons work as a traditional controller together but are near mirror images so that you hand one off to a friend in order to play certain games.
The Switch will boast a 6.2 inch touch screen on the tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
It will have 32GB of internal memory with the ability to use SD cards to expand it.
The battery life will be around 6 hours, but likely will be far less while playing games. Nintendo reports that Breath of the Wild will be playable for 3 hours on one charge.
The docking bay, which connects the Nintendo Switch tablet to your TV in order to play as a traditional console.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Among the biggest game trailers released was this new, in-depth, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild trailer. Wow does this game look astounding.
This game will launch with the Switch on March 3, 2017.
The other game launching with the Switch is more of a tech demo. Like Wii Sports, except you have to buy it.
So really when we said the Switch had two launch titles we were lying, there's just one, because this doesn't count.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Mario Kart 8 is getting a 'Deluxe' version for the Switch, which boasts a load of added characters and updates.
It releases on April 28th.
Super Mario Oddysey
Yeah, that's right. A new Mario 3D platformer.
Mario leaves the mushroom kingdom for what looks to be American cities (?).
Nintendo has described this game as a sandbox-style game which makes it sound a lot like Super Mario GTA to us.
This is a new game in the works from Square Enix.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
The entire presentation if you feel inclined to watch it.
