The control of the console will rely on these Joy-Cons, which serve a variety of purposes including being used as wiimotes, NES style controllers, combining into one controller, and snapping on the sides of the tablet-style console for portable play.
We're not even totally sure that's all of the uses either.
Basically Joy-Cons work as a traditional controller together but are near mirror images so that you hand one off to a friend in order to play certain games.
The Switch will boast a 6.2 inch touch screen on the tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
It will have 32GB of internal memory with the ability to use SD cards to expand it.
The battery life will be around 6 hours, but likely will be far less while playing games. Nintendo reports that Breath of the Wild will be playable for 3 hours on one charge.
